Vol. 2The Flight Beyond Altair

Li Qingsong built a Solar System war fleet, survived the Lantu Ke invasion, and led Human Civilization from Earth to Altair as the Machina Calamity advanced. After fleeing Altair on a thousand-year voyage, he discovered that observing the Evil Eye Galaxy could infect and possess his clones.

  • Li Qingsong industrialized the Solar System and developed battleships, advanced weapons, and a fleet of 100,000 warships.
  • Li Qingsong expanded his fleets and directed decades of live-fire exercises across the Solar System.
  • Li Qingsong defeated the Lantu Ke fleet at Uranus before Halier returned and captured Venus.
  • Li Qingsong sent water from Earth to Venus, worsening the planet’s collapse as Haiwei’s government and population descended into chaos.
  • Li Qingsong defeated the Lantu Ke and absorbed its people and technology after learning of the Machina Calamity.
  • Li Qingsong restored Earth, migrated to Altair, and began building industry there while asteroid impacts threatened expansion.
  • Li Qingsong built a scientific fleet and fled the approaching Machina Calamity on a thousand-year voyage.
  • Li Qingsong discovered that observing the Evil Eye Galaxy created a self-replicating parasite that could possess its host, and ordered infected clones restrained.

Arc 5Jupiter’s War Fleet

Li Qingsong transformed Jupiter’s moons into a vast industrial system, expanded his clone workforce, and developed advanced battleships and weapons. He then spread construction across the Solar System while enormous fleets fought decades of live-fire exercises.

  • Li Qingsong built factories, food production, and Space Elevators across Jupiter’s moons, enabling a vast industrial network and moving hundreds of thousands of tons of cargo daily.
  • Li Qingsong expanded his clone population and research workforce, shrinking nuclear fission thrusters and developing mass-produced 2-nanometer chips and powerful supercomputers.
  • Li Qingsong developed electromagnetic cannons, high-speed radar, laser weapons, and precision swivels, then built the first Mercury-class Battleship with technology beyond past Human Civilization.
  • Li Qingsong built the Earth-class Battleship Zi Wei, which defeated more than one hundred Mercury-class Battleships, and began planning a fleet of over 75,000 ships.
  • Li Qingsong launched increasingly large live-fire exercises between his fleets, but judged that their weapons lacked enough offensive power and developed electromagnetic artillery and nuclear missiles.
  • Li Qingsong added unmanned weapons, sent modified Aerospace Carriers to develop resource-rich worlds, and personally directed early construction on Mars.
  • Over the next thirty years, Li Qingsong industrialized every major planet except Earth, replaced Aerospace Carriers with larger capital ships, and expanded combat exercises across the Solar System to 100,000 warships.

Arc 6The Venus Campaign

Li Qingsong prepared the Solar System for war, defeated the Lantu Ke fleet’s first assault, and later allowed it to capture Venus as part of a plan to transform the planet with water from Earth. As Venus became increasingly uninhabitable, the Lantu Ke Civilization prepared a last offensive while its population descended into panic.

  • Li Qingsong ended the decades-long exercises and began building the Solar System Defense Line as the Lantu Ke main fleet approached.
  • After the Lantu Ke Civilization ignored his offer to negotiate, Li Qingsong fought its fleet at Uranus and forced General Halier to retreat, destroying twenty thousand enemy warships.
  • Li Qingsong refused the Lantu Ke Civilization’s demands for compensation, and Halier returned with a 300,000-warship force to attack across the Solar System.
  • Halier identified Venus’s exposed Supercomputer Ships as a weakness, captured the planet, and brought the Lantu Ke main fleet and its industrial expansion there.
  • Li Qingsong tried to destroy the Lantu Ke forces on Venus with a massive asteroid, but the enemy stopped it with an ultra-heavy ship.
  • Li Qingsong chose to send ten trillion tons of water from Earth to Venus, building Space Elevators and defending them as the Lantu Ke People attacked.
  • Water clouds reached Venus and worsened its heat, storms, acid rain, and geological instability, while Haiwei ordered Halier to prepare an offensive to seize Earth.
  • A factory accident sparked panic among Venus’s population, and Haiwei watched the chaos destroy a Space Elevator before the Head of State Residence collapsed around him.

Arc 7The Migration to Altair

After learning that the Machina Calamity might threaten the Solar System, Li Qingsong absorbed Lantu Ke technology, built an interstellar fleet, and restored Earth before departing. He reached Altair and began establishing local industry, but frequent asteroid impacts threatened further expansion.

  • Li Qingsong defeated the Lantu Ke fleet, captured its survivors, and learned from the Confidential Secretary about the Machina Calamity and other threats to intelligent civilizations.
  • Li Qingsong made the Lantu Ke People the Blueprint Clan of Human Civilization and absorbed their biotechnology, increasing his consciousness connection capacity to one billion.
  • Li Qingsong spent decades advancing controllable fusion, building power stations and Jupiter Aircraft to supply deuterium, and developing spacecraft capable of interstellar travel.
  • Li Qingsong chose Altair as his destination and organized a vast migration fleet, while restoring Earth's atmosphere and ecosystem before leaving the Solar System.
  • Li Qingsong sent six fleets in different directions, keeping the true Migration Fleet concealed among decoys as it traveled beyond the Solar System and through the Oort Cloud.
  • Li Qingsong crossed an interstellar dust cloud, repaired damage to the fleet, and reached the young Altair System, where he ordered the Altair Construction Project to begin.
  • Li Qingsong awakened clones and built factories on Altair a1, deployed modified Jupiter Aircraft to extract deuterium, and recognized that asteroid impacts had to be controlled before industry could expand.

Arc 8The Parasitic Calamity

Li Qingsong built a vast scientific fleet and fled the Machina Calamity on a thousand-year voyage while continuing his research. The voyage led him to the Evil Eye Galaxy, whose image infected clones with a self-replicating parasite that could take over its host.

  • Li Qingsong established an industrial system across the Altair System, repaired and expanded his fleet, and built scientific facilities while developing quantum computers.
  • After his Solar System clone revealed the approaching Machina Calamity fleet, Li Qingsong decided to flee and used quantum supercomputers to automate construction of a migration fleet.
  • Li Qingsong watched the Machina Calamity devastate Earth and determined that its fleet would eventually reach Altair, so he prepared six fleets to depart on separate routes.
  • Li Qingsong hid bombs, detectors, bases, and hibernating clones throughout Altair before destroying his facilities and sending the six fleets on a thousand-year journey.
  • Li Qingsong accelerated the fleets to eight percent of light speed, then began inertial flight and operated the fleet’s scientific devices to study the universe.
  • Li Qingsong detected repeated, unusually weak neutrino bursts from a distant location and later discovered the Evil Eye Galaxy, whose strange appearance drew him and a Blueprint Astronomer into prolonged observation.
  • Li Qingsong isolated the clones and Blueprint Scientists affected by the galaxy’s image after finding biological changes and losing his consciousness link with one clone.
  • Li Qingsong concluded that viewing the Evil Eye Galaxy created a self-replicating brain structure that could possess its host, and he ordered his clones to restrain the fully parasitized subjects and gather the partially infected ones.
