Background

The empire initially sought to strengthen its Soul Master foundation by recruiting talented students within its territory. Emperor Xueye considered Yu Tianheng of Heaven Dou Royal Academy, Yu Tianxin of Thunder Academy, Feng Xiaotian, and Oscar valuable assets whose success could reinforce Heaven Dou's position. 6 26

The emergence of Dou Po Academy's Dou Qi System unsettled the imperial court. After Meng Yiran's ranking revealed that a Three-Star Dou Ling could overpower Soul Power prodigies across systems, Xueye ordered an investigation and attempted to contact her with favorable terms. 20

Qian Renxue Infiltration Crisis

Qian Renxue spent years within the imperial family disguised as Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. Her disguise collapsed when Angel God power and the Six-winged Angel Martial Soul could no longer be concealed, exposing her as a Martial Soul Hall spy. 6 33

Emperor Xueye ordered her capture, but the Imperial Guard Army could not stop her or the Martial Soul Hall escort led by Golden Crocodile Douluo and supported by Super Douluo and hundreds of Soul Douluo. Her departure publicly humiliated the empire and left its court in disarray. 33 34

The exposure eliminated Heaven Dou's presumed heir, elevated Xue Beng as the leading candidate for crown prince, and deepened the empire's fear of Martial Soul Hall's military power. 33

Submission to Dou Po Academy

Following the destruction of Sea God Island, Xue Xing approached Dou Po Academy on behalf of Heaven Dou and formally offered submission. The empire agreed to pay thirty percent of its annual tax revenue and grant the academy priority access to its resources in exchange for protection of the royal family during critical threats. 65 66

Lin Feng accepted the terms, formally recognizing Heaven Dou as a subsidiary force of Dou Po Academy. Xue Xing also became a Lay Disciple of the academy. 66

When Martial Soul Hall prepared a major invasion, Xueye increased the offer to fifty percent of annual tax revenue and promised 10,000 young disciples as vassals to Dou Po Academy. Zhou Xu agreed to repel the invading army, while intending to preserve the balance between Heaven Dou and Martial Soul Hall rather than destroy either side outright. 69 70

After Qing Lin suppressed Qian Renxue and Dou Po Academy's dominance became undeniable, Xue Beng sent gifts and offered to raise the annual tribute to sixty percent in return for continuing protection. 84

Military Conflicts

Tensions with Star Luo Empire

The Star Luo Empire repeatedly regarded Heaven Dou's crisis as an opportunity for territorial expansion. After Qian Renxue's exposure, Dai Weisi proposed annexing Heaven Dou border territories; later, Dai Yutian ordered preparations to strike six border cities. 34 51

Heaven Dou's vulnerability eventually caused Star Luo to reconsider direct expansion, particularly after Martial Soul Hall's strength and Dou Po Academy's supremacy became clearer. 54 77

War with Martial Soul Hall

Martial Soul Hall dispatched Light Feather Douluo, Mighty Lion Douluo, ten Titled Douluo, and a 200,000-strong Spirit Master Legion to attack Heaven Dou. The empire mobilized its border garrisons and requested immediate aid from Dou Po Academy. 69 70

Marshal Gelong led several hundred Soul Douluo in a decapitation operation against Martial Soul Hall's Elder Group. The initial assault broke through the outer defense and killed at least one elder, but Light Feather Douluo and Mighty Lion Douluo thwarted the operation. 70

The failed strike allowed Martial Soul Hall to launch a devastating counteroffensive. Heaven Dou's formations collapsed, Emperor Xueye was defeated and severely injured by Titled Douluo, and the empire neared destruction. 71

Lin Feng then arrived with 5,000 Dou Po Academy disciples, killed the Titled Douluo surrounding Xueye, and forced Martial Soul Hall's army to retreat. The academy treated the wounded and saved the imperial army from annihilation. 71 72
