Background

Zhou Xu is a transmigrant who received two core system abilities: summoning Battle Through the Heavens characters to serve him and restoring Dou Po Academy to its peak. His ultimate objective is to transform the academy into a divine realm, condense Origin Qi, and advance to Dou God. 1

Over eighteen years, he rebuilt Dou Po Academy into a divine realm and cultivated a group of exceptional disciples and experts. Despite reaching the peak of the Nine-Star Dou Saint realm, he remained unable to cross the Dou God barrier for three years because he lacked Origin Qi. 1

He can also be uncompromising toward threats. After Bo Saixi refuses to submit, he suppresses her Sea God origin and forces her surrender, then places her in an Outer Court elder position. 57 58

At the beginning of the story, Zhou Xu is in seclusion attempting to attain Dou God. The Golden Ranking’s arrival interrupts this effort, while his disciples seek his help with their own breakthroughs. 1

As the Heavenly Pride Ranking reveals his disciples’ standing, he serves as the academy’s stabilizing voice. He restrains their contempt toward Soul Power cultivators and stresses the importance of humility and proper cultivation foundations. 4 6 9

Rise of Dou Po Academy

Meng Yi Ran’s ranking exposes Dou Po Academy and the Dou Qi System to the continent. Other powers begin investigating the academy, while Zhou Xu and his disciples prepare for the attention and danger this creates. 19 21

Heavenly Pride Ranking Revelation

Zhou Xu ranks first on the Heavenly Pride Ranking at age twenty. The ranking reveals his Nine-Star Dou Saint cultivation, Emperor Flame, command of complete Dou Qi laws, and power beyond the God Kings. It cannot grant him a reward because its authority is insufficient. 44

Consolidation of Continental Influence

Zhou Xu turns Dou Po Academy into a decisive political and military power. Heaven Dou submits by offering thirty percent of its annual tax revenue in exchange for protection, while Prince Xue Xing becomes a Lay Disciple. 66

When Martial Soul Hall attacks Heaven Dou, Zhou Xu agrees to intervene under his own conditions and dispatches Lin Feng with five thousand Outer Court disciples to repel the invasion rather than completely destroy the enemy. 70

Following Qing Lin’s defeat of Qian Renxue and Martial Soul Hall’s vanguard, Zhou Xu establishes the terms for wider submission: taxes, obedience to academy rules, and the education of young disciples in the Dou Qi System. He orders Qian Renxue detained and delays open war against Bibi Dong until her godhood is complete. 84
