"Damn it!"
Luther controlled his body and stared from afar in the direction the two had fallen, unable to stop himself from cursing under his breath.
The phantom dragon before him continued roaring, attempting to attack him and draw his attention.
Just as he was growing anxious, he suddenly saw Klein's spirit body stabilize itself amid the turbulent currents. He successfully grabbed Audrey and glided through the air, gradually flying toward that miraculous city.
While flying, Klein also gestured to Luther, indicating that he was fine and there was no need to worry. For them, getting away from that corrosive dragon was not necessarily a bad thing.
As long as they're okay...
Luther relaxed slightly and turned to deal with the dragon's afterimage.
With the companions he needed to protect gone, he no longer had any reservations. He raised a hand, slashed across his chest, and dragged out a sea of blood that swept toward the dragon in the sky.
Klein held Audrey as he continuously adjusted his posture in midair.
As a spirit body, he could control himself to a certain extent. However, the impact had been far too powerful. Despite his best efforts, he was still flying forward at high speed while constantly losing altitude.
The miraculous city gradually expanded before their eyes.
"So magnificent..."
Audrey had already recovered from her fright and was no longer panicking. Instead, curiosity filled her as she observed the grand city while descending.
Compared to this city, they were truly tiny. Like two sparrows weaving between the skyscrapers of Backlund, they swept past enormous stone pillars, grand buildings, and steps as tall as ordinary floors, before finally hurtling toward a magnificent palace at the city's center.
This seemed to be the residence of Ankewelt, the "Dragon of Imagination."
Klein thought instinctively.
"Whoosh!"
