"Not yet. I heard Queen Alicent has sent out more men."
Cole answered honestly.
"Is Lord Robert looking, too?" Rhaegar asked, pretending to make casual conversation.
Cole replied, "Yes. Lord Robert is leading the search himself. He even went to the shore last night to look for you, Prince."
Rhaegar's eyes shifted. He got to his feet and said, "I'm full. I'll take a walk around the castle."
Regardless of whether Cole was willing, he strode out.
Cole hesitated briefly. The Princess had only ordered him to keep an eye on the Prince, and staying within the castle probably didn't count as wandering off.
He followed behind Rhaegar to keep watch.
"What do you think my sister and father are talking about?" Rhaegar asked after they had walked a short distance.
"The King and the Princess must be discussing important matters. How could I possibly know?" Cole remained humble.
"Take a guess. My sister trusts you so much," Rhaegar urged.
After being asked repeatedly, Cole began to hesitate. He slowly replied, "In their last few conversations, most of what they discussed was the Princess's marriage. I know very little about it."
"Do you know Laenor?"
"The eldest son of Lord Corlys, the Sea Snake?"
"Looks like you know him."
"When Lord Corlys served as Master of Ships, the Princess often met with his children. I was fortunate enough to meet him."
Rhaegar turned around, his expression utterly serious. "What kind of person is Laenor? Answer honestly, Ser!"
Cole kept a straight face and gave a fair assessment. "Ser Laenor is very handsome and easygoing. He's an excellent knight."
"And does he have... any bad habits?" Rhaegar continued.
Based on what Rhaegar knew of Rhaenyra, if Laenor really was as flawless as Cole said, he would be her perfect match.
