Background / History

Before his death, Yao Chen was a renowned Nine Revolutions Dou Zun Peak expert and Eighth Grade Peak Alchemist. He was also an expelled member of the Yao Clan, whose name had been erased from its clan register. 46 325 498

Yao Chen accepted the orphan Han Feng as a disciple and treated him as his own son. Han Feng later colluded with Soul Hall for the Burning Art, betrayed Yao Chen, and caused his death. A remnant of Yao Chen's soul escaped into a ring, where he survived by instinctively absorbing Xiao Yan's Dou Qi while dormant. 239

While Yao Chen remained dormant, Zi Yu used a Beginner Loyalty Card on him because of his exceptional alchemy potential. Zi Yu later had Dongfang Jing use a Purple Soul Ginseng Fruit and Spirit Origin Fruit to awaken Yao Chen. 27 46

Upon awakening, Yao Chen admitted that he had wronged Xiao Yan and offered compensation. After negotiations led by Zi Yu, he agreed to teach Xiao Yan alchemy, provide him with high-level fire-attribute techniques and Dou Skills, protect him, and supply medicinal pills for his cultivation. 46 47 48

Zi Yu eventually released Han Feng's captured soul for Yao Chen to judge. Yao Chen personally annihilated his former disciple, settling the grievance that had driven him since his death. 239

Yao Chen was then resurrected in the Origin World of the Dragon Phoenix Yin Yang Bracelet. Zi Yu used treasures including the Immortal Spirit Jade Lotus Root, Mysterious Heaven Cloud Ganoderma, Heavenly Soul Divine Grass, Kirin Divine Beast Essence Blood, Nine Revolutions Nirvana Pill, Burning Heaven Sacred Beast Inner Core, and a Heavenly Supreme Skeleton to forge his new body. 239 240

Han Feng's betrayal left Yao Chen deeply resentful, yet killing Han Feng allowed him to confront that pain rather than remain consumed by it. Zi Yu's guidance after the revenge contributed to Yao Chen becoming more open-minded and less fixated on past grievances. 239 249 497

After resurrection, he became more confident, strategic, and generous toward those close to him.
