Mu Tianxie was already a well-known Heavenly Immortal and Demonic Dao cultivator when Chen Ming first encountered him. He was hunting a Void Yaksha because its Innate Spiritual Power was needed to complete the Void Disk; Chen Ming escaped their initial encounter by leaving behind a Five-Colored Divine Light diversion. 179 185

He later tracked the Void Yaksha, Daoist Mingyao, to Vast Mountain. Mu Tianxie tested Chen Ming with Heavenly Immortal pressure and demanded Mingyao, but Chen Ming resisted him as a True Immortal. Mu Tianxie withdrew after failing to discern Chen Ming’s concealed background and began treating him with markedly greater caution. 187 188

Mu Tianxie proposed refining Mingyao into the Void Disk and offered a jade slip recording opportunities in the Ancient Star Dome. Chen Ming renegotiated the arrangement, forcing Mu Tianxie to concede that his initial terms unfairly placed the sacrifice and risk on Chen Ming’s side. 189 190

Despite fearing retaliation from the Chenxing Sect, Mu Tianxie agreed to join Chen Ming in refining Elder Tiannian. He enhanced the Plain Colored Cloud Realm Flag’s killing intent with demonic energy and severely damaged Tiannian’s Primordial Spirit with his hidden Deathly Silent Demonic Light. 191 192

After Chen Ming became a Heavenly Immortal, Mu Tianxie disputed the revised ownership and use of the Void Disk. Within the Xuanming Realm, Mu Tianxie and You Lian retained much of their past-life foundation through Chen Ming’s intervention. Mu Tianxie became the Life and Death Heavenly Monarch, but his body was later revealed to have been occupied by the Ancient Heavenly Immortal Wu Yuanzi. 231 239 240

Wu Yuanzi had secretly guided Mu Tianxie’s obsession with refining the Void Disk and reaching the location described in the jade slip. After Wu Yuanzi was refined, Chen Ming released Mu Tianxie’s sealed Primordial Spirit and recreated his body. Mu Tianxie is a handsome but sinister-looking man who dresses in black robes and wears his long hair loose. A vertical eye in the center of his forehead serves as the source of his most dangerous Demonic Light. 187 192
