Wang Ping rose to his feet, formed a magic seal with his fingers, and released the vines binding the rat Yao. Then he ordered the two disciples guarding it, "Cut open its body."
Though the two disciples were puzzled, they carried out the order swiftly. They immediately slashed open the rat demon's body with their swords. There was none of the expected spray of blood. Their long swords sliced through it as though cutting hard leather, revealing a mottled white skeleton within. The skeleton was hollow as well, and a demon spell formation had been carved across the surface of its bones.
"I was wondering why the rat Yao was so huge."
Liu Shuang stepped forward two paces and crouched down. She covered her hand in a layer of spiritual energy, then pried open the rat demon's skin completely. A burst of cracking bones rang out.
