Mountain Top Dojo.
Ke Yue walked along the garden path with some apprehension. As a member of 'First Day,' if the master here chose to kill her outright, even her own sect would not stand up for her.
For there was strife within 'First Day' as well. After the True Sun Mountain Battle ended, her faction's influence within 'First Day' had been weakened to its lowest point. This time, she had come with the resolve to smash the cauldrons and sink the boats.
Soon, she spotted Wang Ping beneath a Spirit Wood tree. Her feet stopped of their own accord, and she respectfully clasped her hands and bowed.
"Fellow Daoist, I trust you have been well. Why not come have a cup of tea?"
Wang Ping invited her.
Ke Yue immediately stepped forward and quickly approached Wang Ping. Her gaze fell upon the tea table beside him, and she then clasped her hands in greeting toward Yulian, who was basking in the sun atop a branch.
"Actually, you should not have come looking for me at such a sensitive time!" Wang Ping said, extending a hand in invitation.
"Rest assured, True Person. No one knows that this humble Daoist came to Thousand Wood Temple."
Ke Yue spoke with confidence.
Wang Ping nodded, lifted his teacup, and took a sip before looking at Ke Yue. "Have some tea!"
A cup of plain tea went down amid a silent atmosphere. As Wang Ping picked up the teapot to refill their cups, he asked, "What has Fellow Daoist come for?"
"There are three matters, all beneficial to Fellow Daoist and to me."
Ke Yue answered with clasped hands.
Wang Ping raised his teacup. Yulian's tail also stretched down and curled around a teacup. Wang Ping looked at Yulian and said, "Go on, then."
