Lord Xiaoshan's Hobby

After Wang Ping sat down, Yulian stretched her neck to look toward the pavilion not far away, but soon found it uninteresting. She rose from Wang Ping on a cloud and flew to the entrance of the main house.

She had long been curious about the furnishings inside this room.

"Don't mess up the things inside."

Wang Ping reminded her.

Like a thief caught in the act, Yulian had been about to push the door open with her tail. Wang Ping's words gave her such a fright that she stuck out her tongue in displeasure. "You scared me!"

After saying that, she gathered her courage and gently pushed open the wooden door with her tail, then stretched her head inside.

The room was furnished very simply. There was a wooden plank bed with two meditation cushions on it, then bookshelves lining the walls. The shelves were filled with Bamboo Slips and books. On the far left were the most primitive broad bamboo strips, and the methods of recording became more convenient the farther right one went, until there were bound books at the very end.

They were clearly books Lord Xiaoshan had collected during his cultivation. Most were storybooks. He actually shared Yulian's hobby.

Yulian went to the far left, used the Levitation Technique to lift one of the broad bamboo strips, then flew out at top speed. Only after landing on Wang Ping's shoulder did the tension in her heart ease somewhat.

Her gaze fell upon the broad bamboo strip as she asked, "What are we doing now? Going to catch Forest Blood Wolves?"

Wang Ping did not answer Yulian's question. Looking at the broad bamboo strip floating before her, he asked, "What are you reading?"

"An old storybook. There are lots of storybooks like this in the room."
