Pitch-black Cursed Seal markings burst from Danzo's body in an instant, binding Uchiha Sasuke. Shimura Danzō formed a hand seal with one hand, then coldly said, "Uchiha Itachi, hurry up and kill this brat!"
Uchiha Sasuke struggled desperately, but he found himself utterly unable to break free from the seal. Given Shimura Danzō's strength, as long as Danzo did not stop the technique, Sasuke had no chance of escaping.
The expression on Uchiha Itachi's face grew even more conflicted. After slowly approaching, he gradually drew out a kunai.
Uchiha Sasuke felt his heart rise into his throat. He wanted to speak, but under the effects of the sealing technique, he could not even force out a single word. All he could do was silently pray that his brother would break free of the genjutsu soon.
Even the simple act of drawing the kunai took Uchiha Itachi a minute or two of struggle. When he raised it, his resistance became even fiercer.
"Sa—Sasuke—"
A moment later, Uchiha Itachi let out a pained cry, and Uchiha Sasuke's eyes lit up. "Brother, you're awake!?"
Shimura Danzō snorted coldly. "So the genjutsu is about to fail? Fortunately, I never placed any hopes on you evil Uchiha!"
Hearing that, Uchiha Sasuke froze briefly, then his expression changed drastically. The Root Ninja whom Uchiha Itachi had rescued were also beginning to regain consciousness.
Uchiha Itachi was currently trapped in the genjutsu. Though he showed signs of waking up, he clearly could not break free anytime soon. Meanwhile, Sasuke himself was restrained by Shimura Danzō's sealing technique. He had no ability to resist at all.
"Kill this Uchiha brat!"
At Shimura Danzō's command, the many awakened Root Ninja wasted no words. Kunai and shuriken flew toward Uchiha Sasuke.
