Sakura is a civilian-born shinobi of Konohagakure who joins Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha in Team 7 under Cangwu. During her introduction, she is openly flustered when discussing the person she likes and her future dream, while Sasuke is the focus of her affection 9.

Cangwu identifies Sakura’s strong chakra control and theoretical aptitude but recognizes that her raw strength and chakra reserves lag behind Naruto and Sasuke. He encourages her to act as “Team 7’s brain,” teaching her to capitalize on her strengths rather than compete directly on their terms 31.
