Li Lieyue is a direct daughter of the Jiu A Li Clan and was regarded as the clan's most outstanding member of her generation. Before becoming Saintess, she stood foremost among Chongming Sect's three True Disciples and was expected to uphold both the clan's honor and the sect's prestige. 314 357

She became Pei Ling's patron after he chose her faction. Li Lieyue had previously taught him the Blood Fiend Saber Technique, supplied him with the Burning Night Chapter and a saber-forging method, and later personally prepared the materials for his Curse Ghost Dao Foundation.
