But that was already enough. By the time Namikaze Minato looked again, he saw that Uchiha An had already stepped back twice. Blood-red Chakra steamed off his body, rapidly solidifying and twisting; bones, muscles, and armor layered over one another, constructing a half-body Susanoo that shielded his front, back, left, and right.

Namikaze Minato did not shift his position again. Instead, his golden figure surged forward like lightning, forcefully pressing the high-speed rotating golden-red Rasengan against the Susanoo.

"Nine-Tails Rasengan!"

Although the size of the Rasengan hadn't increased after being infused with Nine-Tails Chakra, its power had skyrocketed.

The Nine-Tails Rasengan and the Susanoo armor collided violently, emitting a sharp, screeching friction that made one's ears ache.

After a brief stalemate, both exploded simultaneously, sending both men flying.

A blinding light erupted from the center of the battlefield, forming a pillar of energy that shot straight into the sky, as if it had punched a hole through the heavens.

Violent energy fluctuations burst from the pillar, turning into turbulent currents of energy that raged in all directions. Everywhere they passed, everything was shredded as if harvested by Kamaitachi.

The already ravaged earth was sliced apart once more, peeling away in layers like fragile crackers. Hard rocks were pulverized into fine fragments, sweeping across the area like a sandstorm.

"Hahaha..." Laughter drifted from the dust, filled with a madness that carried a bone-chilling sense of delight.

Although a large hole had been punched into the chest of the Susanoo, leaving Uchiha An's body completely exposed, he was not afraid. Instead, he laughed maniacally.

"Namikaze Minato!"

"You really are a good father, letting your own son be raised like a dog by the Third!"

"No wonder you were able to become Hokage!"

"Sarutobi Hiruzen's brainwashing techniques are truly impressive!"

"Hahaha..."

Namikaze Minato's face was as dark as water. He opened his right hand, and a Rasengan appeared in his palm once again.

But before he could launch an attack, Uchiha An suddenly leaped forward. He used the jagged hole in the chest of his Susanoo to trap Namikaze Minato inside, then activated his chakra, sealing the gap in the blink of an eye. The two of them were now confined within the airtight space of the Susanoo's torso.

Immediately, a sinister grin spread across his face as he pointed a finger gently upward.

When Minato looked up, he saw that the Susanoo above had already removed the Herb Gourd from its back, aimed it downward, and pulled the stopper from its mouth.

"Whoosh!" A purple torrent poured out from the gourd, rushing into the Susanoo's abdominal cavity like a waterfall. It surged over both of them, instantly filling the entire enclosed space.

These Phosphorus Corrosive Insects did not distinguish between friend and foe; they swarmed toward the two men, instantly staining them both purple.

"Haha..."

"Minato, come and try Aburame Torune's Phosphorus Corrosive Insects!"

"Let's see which one of us dies first!"

Uchiha An's manic laughter echoed amidst the swarm of insects, as if he didn't care about his own life in the slightest.

But Namikaze Minato had no intention of dying here with him.

Namikaze Minato was already dead, but Uzumaki Naruto was still alive.

Even without considering the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki or the village, as a father, he could not let his son die here like this.

With a "swish," his figure vanished from the spot, reappearing in an instant outside the Susanoo.

The moment he exited the abdominal cavity of the Susanoo, he gave his body a sharp shake, casting aside the outermost layer of the Nine-Tails Chakra Cloak along with all the Phosphorus Corrosive Insects that had been tightly clinging to it.

Uchiha An tossed out a snide remark, then activated the Herb Gourd above his head. Like a whale drawing in water, it sucked all those Phosphorus Corrosive Insects back inside. Then, under Minato's watchful gaze, he began to mend his own injuries.
