History

The Ancient Battlefield, a space originating from a conflict ten thousand years ago, contains demonic creature-like entities and unstable space-time. Lin Mu suspected that it may have been a battleground between the Dou Qi Continent's inhabitants and invaders from beyond the plane. 85 87

Lin Mu first encountered a Demonic Shadow after entering the battlefield. The creature slaughtered a small team through its malevolent aura, prompting Lin Mu to identify it as a possible member of the Outer Realm Evil Clan. He destroyed it with the Chaos Green Lotus Flame. 87

Later encounters revealed that the Outer Realm Evil Clan viewed the Dou Qi Continent as a source of “blood food.” Lin Mu and Xiao Yi Xian fought a Dou Ancestor-level Demonic Shadow using the Chaos Green Lotus Flame and a Netherworld Poison Array; the creature ultimately self-destructed rather than submit to interrogation. 89 90

A far greater threat, Blood Soul, was sealed deep within the battlefield's space. The star-eyed man stated that this Nine-Star Dou Saint-level demonic creature had survived its sealing and continuously accumulated strength. Lin Mu confronted Blood Soul after receiving the star-eyed man's power. 95 96

Demonic creatures later emerged repeatedly across the continent, including Sky Demon Clan infiltrators, Demon Commanders attacking the Heavenly Court, and creatures guarding major ancient sites. 120 122 136 192
