Background / History

Lux first contacts Zhao Xu in the Land of Returning Death as a mysterious feminine voice claiming to be the Divine Artifact he seeks. She identifies herself as part of Yeger’s Seven Great Prophecies and reveals that she is the “Eternal Sacred Artifact” wielded by the prophecy’s subject 193.

She later explains that she had already merged with Zhao Xu as the Energy Suppression Hide. Lux chose this stable, slotless form to remain close to him, replenish energy for the Blood Altar, evade detection by gods and Legendary Mages, and develop an emotional bond with a master capable of unlocking her full strength 194.

Lux and Zhao Xu cooperate during the battle against a Pit Fiend. She supplies tactical information and warnings while Zhao Xu uses layered defenses, Arcane Fusion, and Axiom Hammer to kill it 198 199. Afterward, Lux reveals that she also grows through their achievements; her chance of transforming into the Tome of Ten Thousand Laws rises by one percent 201.

She continues to advise Zhao Xu during negotiations, historical trials, and major battles. When the Elemental Lords appear, Lux returns in the form of the Final Scroll, substantially expanding Zhao Xu’s access to Ninth-ring magic 252 273 428 429.
