History

Before meeting Qin Feng, Feng Lei had discovered a spiritually dense location beneath a cliff in Buzhou Mountain. He believed it was connected to Pangu, but a powerful guardian beast had frightened him away before he could investigate it. 55 56

Feng Lei and Qin Feng formed an alliance through a Division Contract, which preserved both parties’ independence while making betrayal punishable by Heavenly Punishment. In exchange for Feng Lei’s guidance to the dangerous site, Qin Feng provided a Golden Core that enabled Feng Lei to reach Grand Unity Golden Immortal. 55

Although usually fearful of danger, Feng Lei entered the Kirin’s trial because of his hidden objective: reviving a Primordial Spirit using the Pangu Blood Pool. He extracted the spirit from his own brow and risked its complete collapse in the resurrection attempt. Qin Feng stabilized the process with his own power, allowing the revival to succeed. 58 60 61

The resurrected being was Lin Luo. Feng Lei transformed into human form after the event and chose to continue following Qin Feng, openly acknowledging both his gratitude and the benefits of their partnership. 62

He settled with Qin Feng on an island near Penglai Immortal Islands, where they cultivated using a recreated Pangu Blood Pool. Feng Lei later fought alongside Qin Feng during the Witch-Demon conflict, gathered crystal cores from the battlefield, and protected Qin Feng during breakthroughs and confrontations with the Dragon Race. 71 84 89 99

During their exploration of the Ice Snow Realm, a storm separated Feng Lei from Qin Feng. Feng Lei was pulled into a dark vortex and inherited the Dao of an unknown senior, gaining unstable dark power that temporarily elevated him to Quasi-Saint level. He reunited with Qin Feng while helping resist the giant face connected to the sealed land. 113 135 136 140

After returning to Penglai, Feng Lei was drawn into Qin Feng’s Chat Group. He correctly identified the approaching conflict between two Kunpeng from different eras and received the Nine Heavens Falling Thunder as a reward. 145 146

His fearfulness does not outweigh his devotion to Lin Luo. Feng Lei willingly faced the deadly Pangu Blood Pool trial and risked the Primordial Spirit’s destruction for even a chance to revive Lin Luo. 60 61

Initially, Feng Lei followed Qin Feng primarily for cultivation resources and protection. Over time, he became genuinely loyal, regarding Qin Feng as a brother and repeatedly placing himself in danger to support or defend him. 62 99 137 141
