Background / History
Qian Daoliu presides over the Worship Hall and serves as the Angel God's Grand Priest. When Bibi Dong presents Lin Fan's Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul, he is stunned by its purity and personally examines the boy's Soul Power. He recognizes that Lin Fan's Angel Martial Soul is genuine despite not being a Qian-family inheritance. 8 9
After learning that Lin Fan also possesses the extreme-evil Purgatory Spider Emperor, Qian Daoliu seeks to bring him into the Worship Hall and personally teach him Angel cultivation. Bibi Dong refuses to relinquish her disciple, so the two divide Lin Fan's instruction schedule; Qian Daoliu trains him on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He invites Lin Fan to call him “Grandpa Qian.” 9
Following a response from the Angel God, Qian Daoliu learns that Lin Fan is an anomaly already regarded as a successor by two other gods. He and Golden Crocodile Douluo decide to secure Lin Fan's loyalty to Martial Soul Hall by granting him the Hundred Thousand Year Right Arm Bone of the Bright Holy Dragon. 10
Qian Daoliu becomes Lin Fan's demanding but protective mentor, personally preparing Spiritual Dew Broth, organizing his training regimen, arranging support for dangerous Soul Ring absorption, and healing him with Holy Light during overexertion. 11 12 14 16
Appearance
Qian Daoliu is an imposing man whose presence is associated with the sacred authority of the Angel God.
- Long golden hair.
- Deep golden eyes.

- Manifests a Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul and sacred golden radiance in battle. 16 102
Personality
Qian Daoliu is composed and authoritative, but shows unusual gentleness toward Lin Fan after recognizing his potential. He is willing to accommodate Lin Fan's ambitions—including an attempt to exceed normal Soul Ring absorption limits—while repeatedly emphasizing safety. 9 13 14
As a mentor, he is stern to the point of brutality. Lin Fan's regimen includes weighted flight, gravity suppression, and continuous cultivation immediately after Soul Ring absorption. Qian Daoliu nevertheless provides recovery medicine and Holy Light to keep the training from causing permanent harm. 12 16
His loyalty to Martial Soul Hall is strategic as well as devout: he views Lin Fan's future as vital to the organization and seeks to cultivate the boy's goodwill and sense of belonging. 10 70
