Identity Crisis
Tianlan Star, the Qu Family.
Qu Sidao was listening to a clan member report on the situation when a faint sound of footsteps suddenly rang out. The Qu Family's patriarch, Qu Zhifeng, walked in, his expression grave.
"Ancestor, the Flood Dragon Clan sent someone over. Apparently, they're acting on orders from the True Dragon Clan and have something to discuss with you," Qu Zhifeng said quietly.
Qu Sidao's expression shifted slightly. "Take the Flood Dragon Clan's envoy to the Council Hall. And don't let a word of this get out."
"Yes, Ancestor."
Not long afterward, Qu Sidao met in the Council Hall with a tall, lanky man in golden robes who had reached the Great Perfection of Void Refining.
"This junior, Ao Xin, pays his respects to Senior Qu," the man in golden robes said politely.
Ao Xin was, after all, representing the True Dragon Clan, so Qu Sidao treated him with courtesy. "There's no need for formalities, little friend Ao. I heard you brought an order from the True Dragon Clan. What is it about?"
Ao Xin took out a Transmission Mirror and injected a spell. Soon, the face of a green-robed old man appeared on its surface.
"Fellow Daoist Qu, I'm Ao Meng. It's been several hundred years since we last met, hasn't it?" the green-robed old man said with a smile.
Qu Sidao nodded. "Fellow Daoist Ao, it's been a long time. How have you been?"
"Not bad. I contacted you this time because there's something I wanted to tell you." Ao Meng's expression grew grave.
Seeing this, Qu Sidao furrowed his brows. "What is it?"
He had no idea why the True Dragon Clan had contacted him or what this matter was about. Judging by Ao Meng's expression, it was clearly no trivial matter.
