History

Origins as the Immortal Herb Pavilion

Shi Yue changes his shop from selling Pills to selling Spirit Herbs because Pills are difficult to sell, while the Heaven Controlling Bead gives him an advantage in herb cultivation. He names the business the Immortal Herb Pavilion and advertises reservations for Spirit Herbs and Spirit Medicine up to a thousand years old 454.

The Pavilion introduces a VIP system for Thousand-Year Spirit Herb reservations. Zhang Feng places an order for one hundred four-hundred-year-old Mysterious Jade Flowers, while Shi Yue promotes the shop to elite disciples at the Immortal Sound Assembly 527 537. Its growing reputation attracts large orders, including a million-Spirit-Stone batch requested by Li Yuanhua, although it is also ordered to close for a month for rectification 544.

The business later opens in Flying Immortal City and gains attention in Black Lotus Market Town. There, Shi Yue displays a three-thousand-year-old Three-Glow Lotus, a Sixth-Grade Spirit Herb, to demonstrate the shop’s ability to supply rare medicines 849 1015 1016.

Renaming and Force-Building

The Pavilion’s reputation becomes valuable enough that herb dealers order its stock for resale, relying on its name to attract buyers. Shi Yue responds by restricting smaller orders and renaming the establishment Immortal Herb Palace, deliberately choosing a name that sounds like a faction rather than a shop 1141.

The change marks his decision to build a personal force. His near-death experience in the Black Dragon Mountain Range and the difficulty of gathering ingredients for Yin’er’s illness convince him that individual strength and borrowed prestige are insufficient. He intends to use the herbs grown through the Heaven Controlling Bead to cultivate loyal subordinates 1141.

The Palace’s proposed relocation attracts competing offers from the Qu Family and Yihua Palace. Black Lotus Market Town’s administrators recognize that retaining it will be difficult because so many high-level cultivators visit daily 1165 1169. A lavish nine-story replacement is subsequently completed with the support of five major powers 1202.

Closures and Reputation Problems

The Palace experiences repeated interruptions. Shi Yue and Xiaoyaozi return to Black Lotus Star to demand an investigation into the murder of its gatekeepers 1187. Later, delivery problems reduce both order quantities and transaction volume; the Qu Family arranges decoys who claim to have received goods that have not actually arrived 1341.

Shi Yue considers cooperation with the Ximen Immortal Clan as a way to repair the Palace’s damaged reputation 1583. He also plans to abandon a fixed storefront, allowing the business to continue while making his identity and movements less predictable 1651. Subsequent deliveries disprove damaging rumors and restore the confidence of major powers, even while new business remains suspended 1720.

War Support and Interstellar Expansion

During the Righteous-Demonic War, the Palace transports supplies to the Shahe Sect and plans branches in the Tianhe Star Domain. Local access to rare healing herbs would help injured Righteous Path cultivators recover without undertaking the dangerous journey to the Tianlan Star Domain 1754.

Its support makes it a target of the Demonic Dao, whose leaders recognize the strategic value of its herbs and Treasure Ships. Shi Yue later announces the Palace’s impending participation in the war, encouraging allied forces to unite under the Sacred Void Sect’s orders 1754 1755 1763.

After reopening, the Palace attracts a queue stretching more than ten miles. Its continued deliveries during wartime have earned widespread trust 1800. An independently hosted auction draws representatives of all Five Great Immortal Clans, and Xiaoyaozi’s appearance posing as a Mahayana cultivator strengthens its public standing 1801 1808 1810.

The Palace hosts the banquet for Shi Yue’s wedding to Qu Feiyan and Murong Xiaoxiao. It also expands commercial activity beyond its home domain, operating three raw-material procurement shops in Xuantian Valley 1820.

Mo Race Attacks and Merchant Alliance Growth

The Mo Race ambushes Palace strongholds, stealing funds and Rare Spirit Herbs. Shi Yue returns to the Tianlan Star Domain to strengthen himself and rebuild the network 1887. Many branches subsequently operate covertly, concentrating on intelligence gathering rather than open trade 1948.

Expansion of the Immortal Herb Merchant Alliance gives the Palace a broader procurement network and reduces its dependence on customers personally travelling to the Tianlan Star Domain. The Sacred Void Sect, Qu Family, Shen Family, and other forces join the alliance 1948 1951 1964.

During the conflict, the Palace is assigned the Purple Light Star, Golden Leaf Star, and Profound Jade Star strongholds, covering fifteen Cultivation Stars with nearby territories. The alliance subdues the major forces of these stars in less than a month, while leaving unwilling neutral forces alone 1992 1993.

Repelling Mo Yunzi’s attack on Immortal Grass Market Town greatly increases confidence in the alliance’s protection and brings more traders to Blue Sea Star 2054. Eventually, its strongholds and market towns extend throughout the Cultivation World, while its business retains an emphasis on integrity and fair dealing 2102 2103.

Reestablishment in the Immortal Realm

Shi Yue reopens the Immortal Herb Palace in Tianhai Market Town, initially keeping its ambitions modest to avoid attracting powerful enemies. Li Yan serves as shopkeeper, while the others build contacts and manage the business during Shi Yue’s seclusion. Over three hundred years, its quality, prices, and service attract a following among Rogue Cultivators 2118.

The group establishes Immortal Herb Island as a separate base, constructing palaces and Spirit Fields 2140 2141. Its growing medicine trade creates friction with Heavenly Pill Palace, whose proposed cooperation Shi Yue rejects to protect his independence and secrets 2171.

The Palace temporarily closes after an attempt to curse Shi Yue through Essence Blood obtained from a clone 2183. Over subsequent development, its resources support a large body of Golden Immortals 2200 2202. It ultimately becomes part of the Holy Void Immortal Sect and sells Immortal Medicine as old as five hundred thousand years 2214 2215.
