Background / History

Ling awakens after Gu Han uses the Yin Yang Twin Flames to convert chaotic power into Heaven and Earth Energy, restoring most of Zu Shi's strength within seven days. Upon awakening, Ling senses the Heavenly Demon Marten's spirit but remains silent. 385

When Gu Han takes Zu Shi and asks Ling to acknowledge him as master, Ling asks whether refusal would mean erasure. Gu Han declines to force the issue, recognizing Ling's service to the Symbol Ancestor during the war against the Strange Demon Clan. 385

Ling initially hesitates, noting that Zu Shi would lose many functions without its spirit. Gu Han realizes that Ling still wishes to follow the Symbol Ancestor's reincarnation and offers to transfer Ling into the Black Tortoise Ring, a divine artifact prepared for that reincarnation.
