History
In the ancient era, the Dou Qi Continent was prosperous enough to produce more than a hundred Dou Emperors. Its many Imperial Clans, as well as powerful magical-beast races, originated from that era of abundance 282 423.
Ancient wars against the Outer Realm Evil Clan damaged the continent, drained its origin, and destroyed or redirected its Realm Passages to the Great Thousand World. The resulting loss of Origin Emperor Qi ended the normal path to the Dou Emperor realm 55 423.
Tou She Ancient God became the last known Dou Emperor of the continent roughly ten thousand years later. His Cave Mansion contains the complete Source of the Emperor and an inheritance capable of enabling a breakthrough 356 378. Xiao Yan eventually uses that inheritance to become a Dou Emperor, awakening the Xiao Clan's bloodline and elevating many of its members' cultivation 378.
Ascension to the Great Thousand World
A Dou Emperor who enters the Great Thousand World must undergo the Three Sovereign Tribulations again, during which their Dou Qi, body, and Emperor Realm Soul transform into spiritual power, a Sovereign Body, and a Spirit Soul 342.
