Background

Yu Tianheng was the former leader of Heaven Dou Royal Academy’s Heavenly Class One and the young sect master of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon clan. At thirteen, he possessed level 28 Soul Power and regarded himself as a leading academy genius before Tang Xuan’s arrival challenged that confidence. 12 13

He initially met Tang Xuan with arrogance, accepting a challenge that required him and Dugu Yan to withstand three sword strikes. Yu Tianheng used his second Soul Skill, Thunderous Might, but could not stop Tang Xuan’s final Heaven Collapses, Earth Cracks strike; his dragon claw was broken, and he conceded wholeheartedly. He nevertheless refused Tang Xuan’s offer to become his subordinate. 12 13

Over time, the initial rivalry became a brotherly partnership. Tang Xuan shared cultivation principles and helped Yu Tianheng develop self-created techniques, while Yu Tianheng became one of the Imperial Dou Fighting Team members Tang Xuan trusted completely. 25 102 108

Yu Tianheng begins as proud, competitive, and highly conscious of his status as the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon clan’s young sect master. His defeat by Tang Xuan is a major blow to that pride, but he accepts the loss rather than denying it. 13

He is determined and willing to endure severe physical costs to improve. He repeatedly challenges Tang Xuan to break through bottlenecks, treats Nine Heavens Thunder Tribulation’s self-inflicted backlash as worthwhile, and accepts the God of Thunder Core despite its painful reshaping of his body and soul. 71 142 327

Despite his competitive streak, Yu Tianheng is loyal and selfless toward his companions. When offered the Core of the God of Thunder, his first concern is whether using it himself could endanger Tang Xuan’s inheritance.
