Background / History

Tang San first encounters Tang Yu at Shrek Academy after Tang Yu defeats Xiao Wu. Although both begin as Level 29 Soul Grand Masters, Tang San's Blue Silver Grass, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, Mysterious Jade Hand, Parasite, and Silent Sleeve Arrows all fail to overcome Tang Yu. Tang Yu defeats him so severely that he is bedridden for several days, beginning Tang San's long-term determination to surpass him. 11 12 13

After reaching Level 30, Tang San obtains his third Soul Ring in the Soul Hunting Forest rather than the Star Dou Great Forest. This route prevents him from encountering the Human-Faced Demon Spider and obtaining the Eight Spider Lances. 22

During the Soul Master Competition, Shrek Academy is eliminated by Star Luo Academy. When Martial Soul Hall moves to capture Xiao Wu as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast incarnation, Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer manifests to protect her.
