Turbulent Undercurrents (It's the End of the Month, Please Ask for a Monthly Ticket, Meow)
Over the next few days, Duanmu Huai took Okegis, Ann, and Mary sightseeing around Coruscant, having a wonderful time. After all, Palpatine was footing the bill, so Duanmu Huai naturally had no reason to hold back.
While Duanmu Huai and the others were wining and dining on public funds and sightseeing, a silver spaceship arrived at the landing pad outside the Galactic Council. Soon after, a woman wearing an elaborate headdress stepped out.
"Welcome to Coruscant, Queen Amidala."
Seeing her arrive, Palpatine approached with a smile to greet her.
"Hello, Senator Palpatine."
Looking at Palpatine before her, Queen Amidala of Naboo Planet also bowed.
"It must have been a difficult journey. I imagine things weren't easy for you."
"Indeed."
Hearing Palpatine's question, Queen Amidala showed no reaction on the surface, but her tone was quite stiff.
"I never imagined that I would be questioned by the Galactic Council."
As she spoke, Queen Amidala glanced resentfully at the two Jedi Knights standing a short distance behind her before looking away.
Queen Amidala was indeed full of complaints at the moment, and she was extremely dissatisfied with the Galactic Council. When the Trade Federation had blockaded Naboo before, the Galactic Council had pretended not to hear or see anything. No matter how she begged for help, they had brushed her off with all sorts of excuses.
Yet the moment the blockade was lifted, the Galactic Council had immediately sent Jedi Knights to Naboo. Their words had all been aimed at asking Queen Amidala what connection she had to the mysterious fleet that had annihilated the Trade Federation fleet!
Although the Jedi Knights had been very polite, Queen Amidala was not stupid. *When I asked you for help before, you kept saying that you had to follow procedure, moving slower than a snail.
