Making Trouble, Are You?

Time passed in the blink of an eye, and soon, the day of the performance arrived.

There wasn't much to say about the performance itself. Duanmu Ai simply stayed by Kujikawa Rise's side, helped out, changed clothes, and then waited to go onstage.

"Nothing happened at all."

Standing backstage, Duanmu Ai stared unhappily at the Inoue manager beside her, while he gave a bitter smile.

"Please don't look at me like that. I can assure you that everything I told you before was true. We're only a small talent agency, after all. We wouldn't have the nerve to deceive a Devil Summoner."

"I know, but with nothing unusual happening all this time, it's really difficult to determine whether there actually is something supernatural going on. It's a nuisance."

"We thought the other party might make a big scene during the live broadcast of the performance, but it doesn't seem to have turned out that way."

As she spoke, Duanmu Ai glanced at her watch. The performance had ended, the performers had finished thanking the audience, and the entire variety show was now drawing to a close.

"So, about what happened before..."

"Maybe she was just having a run of bad luck?"

Duanmu Ai hadn't found any clues either. As far as she could tell, everything Kujikawa Rise had encountered during this period had simply been accidents. She remembered that Faerûn had similar forms of astrology, much like fortune-telling. Someone might say that you were born under an unlucky star and would have bad luck during a certain planetary cycle... Perhaps Kujikawa Rise was just like that.

"Maybe. At least, she does seem much more relaxed lately."

Mr. Inoue couldn't offer a reasonable explanation either. The only explanation he could come up with was that Kujikawa Rise had simply been unlucky
