Among cultivators, regardless of race, anyone who cultivated to the fifth realm and erected a Divine Bridge would inevitably undergo wave after wave of the Three Calamities and Six Tribulations in their future cultivation journey!
These calamities differed greatly in essence from advancement tribulations...
Once cultivators found their own Dao Path, broke open their internal shackles, and established a bridge with heaven and earth, they could borrow the power of heaven and earth to cast spells after achieving the Divine Bridge. The spiritual energy of heaven and earth that their own mana could command was nearly inexhaustible. Even if their combat methods and divine abilities were somewhat lacking, they could still wear down and kill formidable enemies through heavenly calamities and earthly tribulations.
Where there was benefit, there was also harm!
Once experts above the Divine Bridge Realm broke through the barrier between man and heaven, they would inevitably suffer the erosion and assimilation of heaven and earth's power.
In daily cultivation, this manifested as the Three Calamities and Six Tribulations. The intensity of the calamities encountered by cultivators of different Dao realms also varied. The higher one's realm, the fiercer the calamities became.
These calamities took every conceivable form and were exceedingly difficult to predict.
Once they erupted, invisible tribulation lightning might emerge from the void overhead, striking a cultivator's Dao Body into charred coal and blasting their Divine Soul into utter dispersal.
Or true flame might inexplicably ignite beneath one's feet. Apart from a scant few spiritual items such as Calamity-Crossing Azure Profound Water, ordinary means could scarcely extinguish it. The tribulation fire would burn upward all the way, burning through the lower dantian, through the Crimson Palace and Golden Tower, through the skull and Consciousness Sea, burning the cultivator alive.
Or blade-like yin winds and baleful currents
