Secrets of the Forbidden Land

The cultivators still stationed at the various strongholds throughout Sea Province came from a rather mixed assortment of backgrounds.

There were disciples of the Five Great Immortal Sects, cultivators from smaller immortal sects across the various provinces, rogue cultivators and wandering Daoists, as well as local Sea Province cultivators...

Shen Mo remembered quite a few of them, especially the cultivators stationed at the River-Facing Sect's stronghold—he could name nearly half of them. He had also dealt with many cultivators from Sea Province cultivation forces such as the Black Fish Gang.

At once, his thoughts divided into myriad strands as he used his divine sense to converse with those he knew.

He also attended to the unfamiliar faces, offering them a few gentle words of encouragement.

Even as he received the visits and obeisance of the stronghold cultivators, Shen Mo devoted part of his attention to pondering a method obtained from Fairy Peiyu's Divine Soul memories.

"It seems the Heavenly Demons within the Near-Sea Demon Cave obtained quite a bit of precious intelligence from other Outer Realm Demons!"

Though the Heavenly Demon Clan also came from beyond the realm, they did not share the same origin as extraterrestrial races such as the Flower Fairies, Golden Men, and Wan Yan.

The Heavenly Demons originated from the Heavenly Demon Realm, which, like the Primordial Beginning Realm before the great upheaval of heaven and earth, was a world that had not yet withered and fallen. The other extraterrestrial beings came from numerous worlds that had already withered, surviving by continuously migrating to worlds that had only recently withered and had yet to rot away.

Thus, the Heavenly Demon Clan had not originally possessed the method for refining Forbidden Lands. They must have acquired it from
