Taking Kaguya to Another World; to connect the two worlds, a year quietly passed.
Konoha.
Chiyo stood atop Hokage Rock, the evening breeze stirring his long white hair.
Kaguya stood half a step behind him, her gaze resting on his back.
She sensed the power within Chiyo moving in a way it never had before.
"What are you doing?"
Kaguya asked softly.
"Connecting the two worlds."
At that answer, Kaguya froze.
Then she thought of the world Chiyo had once said he had visited. Connecting worlds?
Could something so impossible truly be done?
Chiyo closed his eyes.
Rule Power completed its final cycle inside him, surged out from the Yin-Yang Jade, pierced through his skin, and formed a faint silver-white film of light around his body.
The film of light kept expanding, spreading from Hokage Rock across all of Konoha, then dispersing even farther away.
Wherever the film passed, space trembled faintly.
It was like a stone dropped onto the surface of water, ripples spreading ring by ring, each ripple a fold in space.
As if the world were being woven anew.
Chiyo raised his right hand, palm facing upward.
Silver-white light gathered in his palm, forming a ball of light the size of a fist.
"Kaguya."
"Mm."
"Do you want to go see the world over there?"
Kaguya paused.
"Over there... you mean the world you went to before?"
"Mm."
Chiyo turned his head and looked at her.
Kaguya's lashes trembled.
She had thought about it many times.
During the days Chiyo had been gone, she had wandered alone near Konoha, watching the people in the village come and go. Every one of them had a home, had somewhere they belonged.
As for her, she only felt lonely.
"All right."
Chiyo held out his hand.
