Background
Masuzu is the silver-haired eldest daughter of the influential Natsukawa family. Her striking appearance, talent, and family background make her highly visible at Shuchiin Academy, but she views romance with contempt and considers its social rituals tedious and oppressive. She joined the Far East Magic Society partly because its unusual reputation discouraged confessions and other unwanted romantic attention. 43 57
She initially entered the Society under false pretenses, claiming to be a Stand User without providing proof. Her stated claim and carefully cultivated affectionate behavior toward Hasegawa Izumi were part of an act meant to secure a place in the group and make its members easier to manipulate. Izumi nevertheless accepts her under the Society's rules and assigns her the title “Greedy Witch.” 44 49
The discovery that superpowers genuinely exist changes her priorities. She accepts a Spiritual Energy Seed, cultivates Spiritual Power, and seeks strength as a means of escaping her family's control rather than merely hiding from it. 99 102 103
Appearance
Masuzu is an exceptionally beautiful silver-haired girl often compared to an elf. She deliberately uses her looks, expressions, and mannerisms to project either gentle elegance or a more provocative “witch” persona. 43 64
- Silver or silver-white hair and clear sky-blue eyes. 43 302
- Snow-white skin and cherry-red lips. 43
- Frequently described as having an elf-like or doll-like beauty. 43 57
- Wore a straw hat and light-blue dress during the Shimokitazawa outing. 108
- Uses red-rimmed glasses and a white coat when presenting herself as Rikka's academic tutor. 89
Personality
Masuzu is sharp-tongued, manipulative, and highly theatrical. She enjoys provoking people, particularly Nibuya Morika and Dekomori Sanae, and openly regards most people as entertainment or objects of observation. Her polished smiles and apparent affection are often deliberate performances enabled by her expertise in acting. 44 64 97
Despite her cynicism, she becomes deeply attached to the Far East Magic Society. Her initial interest in Izumi is partly strategic, but his support and the group's acceptance give her a sense of belonging she had lacked. This attachment becomes a major source of resolve during her awakening and conflicts with her family. 99 176
Masuzu is ambitious and competitive. She pursues power intensely, dislikes being outperformed by her peers, and pushes herself through training even after becoming an Ability User. Her growth gradually softens her hostility toward romance; after resolving her family conflict, she admits that she no longer hates love. 137 299 303

- Initially gives her a major advantage against opponents unable to see or understand a Stand's movements. 176
Ripple and Golden Ripple Power
Masuzu applies Spiritual Power as Ripple energy, using it to reinforce herself and strike supernatural targets. 117

Masuzu is skilled at performing false personas, reading social situations, and weaponizing public perception. 44 64

Relationships
- Hasegawa Izumi — Club president, mentor, protector, and eventual love interest. He guides her cultivation, supports her resistance to the Natsukawa family, and accepts her confession after she comes to accept love. 99 126 303 354
- Natsukawa Mana — Her half-sister. Their relationship is strained by their different views of the Natsukawa family, but Masuzu ultimately helps Mana during the family power struggle and urges her to become self-reliant. 99 173 299 303
- Nibuya Morika — Rival and frequent target of Masuzu's taunts. Their clashes reflect Masuzu's ambition against Morika's caution, though they cooperate as Society members. 73 86 173
- Dekomori Sanae — Competitive rival. Their hostility escalates from a hair-pulling brawl to a serious Stand-versus-lightning battle. 90 176
- Takanashi Rikka — Fellow Society member and student. Masuzu tutors Rikka academically, then later spars with her intensely enough that Izumi and Morika must intervene. 92 177
- Busujima Saeko — Masuzu antagonizes and tests Saeko because Saeko's determination to confront her own family reflects Masuzu's own unresolved struggle. 241
- Natsukawa Takehito — Branch-family Ability User who attempts to seize power within the Natsukawa group. Masuzu defeats him with Star Platinum and Golden Ripple Power. 301 302
Story Role / Major Arcs
Joining the Far East Magic Society
Masuzu approaches Morika for information about Izumi, then joins the Society by claiming to be a Stand User. Although her original objective is unclear, she uses the club's reputation to avoid romantic attention and conceals her manipulative intentions behind a graceful facade. 43 44 57
Cultivation and Awakening
After witnessing genuine supernatural power, Masuzu accepts Izumi's guidance and begins cultivating Spiritual Power. She develops Ripple techniques, trains in close combat, and eventually awakens Star Platinum. Her fight with Dekomori establishes both the Stand's strength and her own insecurity about keeping pace with the Society. 102 117 126 176
Independence from the Natsukawa Family
When her family pressures her to return, Masuzu chooses the Society over compliance. Financial pressure later forces her to consider exorcism work, but she remains determined to live independently. 99 108 173
Masuzu eventually assists Mana and Natsukawa Ryoji during the Natsukawa group's internal power struggle. She defeats Takehito, helps expose corruption, and parts from Mana with the conviction that neither sister can depend on the other forever. 299 302 303
Time Loop on Hito Island
Masuzu alone recognizes the repeated events of the Hito Island festival. Through 99 loops, she studies the recurrence, breaks it, gains a deeper understanding of time, and later develops a short time-stop technique. The experience also leads her to openly confess her love for Izumi. 353 354 357
