Background / History

Zhang Yunhao remembers a previous life in which he died saving another person from a car accident. Reborn into the Martial Immortal world, he grew up in the Zhang Family after his parents disappeared when he was ten. Other clan members seized the wealth his parents left behind, leaving him effectively isolated within the family. 1 10

For eighteen years, he endured ridicule while deliberately remaining below the True Qi Realm, waiting for the Martial Immortal Inheritance System to activate. On his eighteenth birthday, the system sent him to a weakened world under the appearance and identity of the first-rate expert Wang Shan. 1

His first trial required King Yue's death and the acquisition of the Blood Origin Pearl. Zhang Yunhao defeated numerous martial artists in King Yue's underground palace, manipulated several survivors into serving him, and ultimately killed King Yue. The system then claimed the Blood Origin Pearl and Blood Hand Seal manual as rewards, while Wang Shan remained behind bearing Zhang Yunhao's consciousness. 1 4 8

After returning, Zhang Yunhao inherited the Righteous Martial Immortal's legacy and began cultivating the immortal-grade Good and Evil Divine Art. His next system mission transported him to the Jin Empire with the objective of killing the court-controlling Grand Eunuch Cao Dan. Personality

Zhang Yunhao is intensely ambitious, viewing martial arts as his route to freedom, vengeance, and ultimately becoming a Martial Immortal. He endured years of humiliation without allowing it to disrupt his training, but he retains deep resentment toward those who exploited his family after his parents vanished. 1 10 27

He is practical and often ruthless. He kills opponents when he considers it strategically necessary, uses poison and intimidation to secure obedience, and openly treats both righteous and evil actions as potential sources of strength through the Good and Evil Divine Art. 2 4 33

Despite this pragmatism, he does not see indiscriminate cruelty as worthwhile. He chose to hunt dangerous beasts rather than harm innocent villagers for cultivation, showed mercy to captured women after taking Tiger Head Stockade, and repeatedly pursues enemies he considers tyrannical or demonic. 13 35
