To study the astronomical anomalies caused by the energy overflow when Asgard used the Bifrost, Jane and Erik had rented a house in the town long-term. When they had picked Thor up from the hospital earlier, they had first gone to where Jane and the others were staying, changed clothes, and only then gone out to eat.

Looking over the simple yet fairly spacious three-bedroom house, Aeo nodded. "It looks like Miss Foster..."

"Doctor. Just call me Doctor," Jane Foster insisted, a trace of stubbornness flashing across her lovely face.

Shrugging, Aeo said indifferently, "...Doctor Foster is living quite well. Did you make these instruments yourself?" Aeo picked up an astronomical device with unusual readings.

"To study the mysteries of this universe?"

"How do you prove what you just said?" What Jane Foster cared more about was what the boy had said earlier, about coming from the universe. "You and..."

She and Darcy Lewis both turned to Thor. "This guy we hit in the middle of the night... is he really an alien?"

Aeo looked at Thor. "You didn't tell them?"

Thor gave a bitter smile. "I did, but they didn't believe me! And I..." A flash of sorrow passed through his eyes. "My power was stripped away by my father. Without divine power... this body is now merely that of a mortal. I cannot prove it..."

Although Aeo had seen similar plots in movies and comics in his previous life, the fact that the power of the Asgardians could truly be stripped away still struck him as rather unbelievable.

"Your powers can actually be taken away?" he could not help asking. "Is the Allfather really that powerful?"

"That's not it..." Thor shook his head. "Father is indeed powerful, but..."

"Forget it. Let's not talk about that for now." Thor
