Thor is the son of Odin, Asgard's All-Father, and initially presents himself as the future king and guardian of the Nine Realms. His attack on Jotunheim provokes Odin to strip him of his divine power, take Mjolnir, and exile him to Midgard until he reflects on his failures. 52 53
