Suppressing the urge to make a snarky remark, Aeo looked at Thor. "If you really want to get your hammer back..." He had gotten most of the information he wanted, along with an unexpected bonus, so Aeo decisively chose his next step.

"Maybe I can help!"

"Really?" Thor was delighted.

Aeo shrugged. "Yeah. I happen to know the person leading the team that surrounded your hammer. If you're willing to honestly reveal your identity to the people of Middle-earth, I think I can persuade them to let you take your hammer back!"

Aeo silently added one more sentence in his heart. If you can still lift it!

Thor was now wholly focused on getting his hammer back and gave no thought to anything else. Or perhaps, as a prince of Asgard, he simply did not think much of the people of Earth to begin with.

"If you can help me retrieve my hammer..." Thor looked seriously at the young man.

"I would be deeply grateful to you!"

Success!

Having long planned to win Thor over, Aeo happily looked at Jane Foster and Erik Selvig. "Well, Doctor? Want to go take a look? I guarantee you won't be disappointed!"

"Deal with government people? No!" The highly suspicious astrophysicist said, "Last time, I believed what some guy from a government department told me, and half a lifetime of my research was gone!"

No one knew who he was talking about, but he gritted his teeth and said, "From that day on, I swore I would never work with the government again!"

Aeo frowned and thought about it. Had there been anything like that in the plot of his previous life? But no matter how he tried to remember, nothing came to mind, so he simply gave up and looked at Jane Foster.
