Background / History

Liu Tian was born to Liu Yun and Sophie Lovis. His father is from the Crimson Cloud Empire, while his mother is from the Hundred Flowers Kingdom; Liu Tian inherited Liu Yun’s black hair and Sophie’s blood-red eyes. Ten years before the story, he became the formal disciple of the wandering martial artist Tian Dao and grew increasingly reclusive as he devoted himself to training. 3 5

During a typhoon in Baihai City, Liu Tian encountered two armed thugs, killed them in self-defense, and took their mysterious transaction item: a Prism Pillar. Contact with the artifact awakened the Add Points Panel and supplied Origin Points, giving him a means to improve martial arts at extraordinary speed. 1 2 6

After revealing the killings and Prism Pillar to Tian Dao, Liu Tian affirmed his commitment to martial arts. Tian Dao consequently began teaching him the Heavenly Martial Killing Dao, a ruthless boxing art derived from the same foundation as Heavenly Martial Fist. 6 7

Liu Tian subsequently sought Lost Empire relics for Origin Points, studying antiques and the Lost Empire’s history at Rose Academy’s library. Tian Dao later gave him a second Prism Pillar, which merged with Liu Tian’s own; the artifacts are connected to a prophecy regarding a path to godhood when all scattered pillars unite. 10 19

During his family’s visit to Pei Commandery, Liu Tian approached the Fighter realm, defeated his Fighter-ranked uncle Liu Zhengde in sparring, and survived a confrontation with Snake. Rather than forcing a breakthrough in Heavenly Martial Killing Dao, he used Origin Points to advance Shadow Seeking Dragon Step beyond its founder’s realm, becoming a Fighter through footwork. 31 36
