Background

Dong Yun was born to Dong Han and Qing Wu of the Xumi Raven clan. When Nan Li was born, Nan Li’s busy parents entrusted her to Qing Wu; Dong Yun initially resented the attention Nan Li received and once considered killing her. Nan Li’s direct question and loneliness stopped her, beginning their lifelong bond as sisters. 449

Dong Han repeatedly suppressed and emotionally manipulated Dong Yun, using Qing Wu and Nan Li as leverage whenever she resisted him. Dong Yun would keep these conflicts hidden from Nan Li, enduring the blame alone. 360 362

During Martial Soul Hall’s assault on Sun Island, Dong Han died and Qing Wu self-destructed to destroy the Angel Legion and free Dong Yun from the enemy’s Martial Soul Fusion Skill. Dong Yun and Nan Li then chose to fulfill their duties as guardian Soul Beasts and sacrifice themselves to save the island, until the Vermilion Bird intervened. 125
