Within the Vast Chaos, accompanied by a thunderous boom, a giant man stepped upon a Thirty-Six-Petaled Green Lotus, with a White Jade Disc floating above his head and a Great Axe in his hand, as he burst forth from a perfectly round enormous egg.
He was the Son of the Great Dao, Pangu, the Heavenly King. He let out a great shout and sent a Dao Sound through the boundless Chaos. "Today, I, Pangu, shall create the heavens and attain Dao here. May the Great Dao bear witness!"
At the same time, a vast eye devoid of all emotion appeared within the gray Chaos and stared at Pangu. A hazy Dao Sound rang out: "Granted!"
Thus, Pangu began wielding his Great Axe. From that moment on, the axe gained its name: the Sky-Opening Axe. With every swing of the Sky-Opening Axe, Chaos slowly began to separate. Clear Qi rose, while Turbid Qi sank. Yet as Pangu opened the heavens, the Three Thousand Demon Gods, who had likewise been born from Chaos, sensed their own paths to the Great Dao being severed. An instinctive feeling told them that if Pangu succeeded in opening the heavens, they would never again have a chance to attain the Great Dao in this lifetime!
Thus, they rushed into the newly opened Heaven and Earth and began wreaking destruction. Pangu flew into a rage. He used the Chaos Green Lotus beneath his feet to stabilize the newborn Great Earth and the Jade Disc of Creation above his head to protect the newly formed firmament.
He swung his Great Axe at the approaching Chaos Demon Gods. None could withstand a single blow. The newborn Heaven and Earth echoed with the howls and curses of the dying Chaos Demon Gods. "Pangu, we curse you to never attain the Great Dao! Ah! Ah! Ah! Heh!"
"Since you cannot tolerate my Heaven and Earth, then become nourishment for the Heaven and Earth I have opened!" Pangu said as he slaughtered the Chaos Demon Gods and stabilized Heaven and Earth.
At last, Pangu slew all the Demon Gods. Yet some managed to escape with a trace of their True Spirits and reincarnated into the newly opened Heaven and Earth. Pangu did not care much about them. Just as he was about to continue swinging his Great Axe, the newborn Heaven and Earth slowly began to close together.
Pangu was greatly alarmed. He hurled the Great Axe toward Heaven and Earth, and it split into three in midair. The axe blade became the Pangu Banner, continuing to shatter the explosive Chaos Qi at the edges of Heaven and Earth. The axe head became the Taiji Diagram, transforming into a towering bridge that spanned Heaven and Earth and separated Yin Yang. The axe handle became the Chaos Bell. As its chimes rang out, the restless Chaos Space-Time gradually became docile.
The Jade Disc of Creation and the Chaos Green Lotus also shattered beneath the pressure of World Creation, falling into this newborn Heaven and Earth and evolving into newly formed Innate Spiritual Treasures!
Pangu himself stood upon the Great Earth and held up the firmament with both hands, continuously growing taller as Heaven and Earth were stretched apart inch by inch. At that moment, the Heavenly Dao of the newborn world, polluted by the Grievance Qi left behind by the dying Chaos Demon Gods, gathered the power of Heaven and Earth and attacked Pangu.
Pangu flew into a rage and uttered the first Dao Sound since World Creation: "Hah!" The newborn Heavenly Dao was annihilated. At the same time, because of the Space-Time disorder caused by the destruction of the Heavenly Dao, a soul from the future appeared within this newborn Heaven and Earth. Pangu paid it little mind.
As Heaven and Earth continued to separate, Pangu gradually ran out of strength. Looking upon the newborn Heaven and Earth, Pangu revealed a gratified smile. "I name you the Great Wilderness. Let me bestow one final measure of Fortune upon this Heaven and Earth!"
Thus, Pangu's exhaled breath became clouds. The hair and pores across his body became the stars filling the sky. His skin became the Heaven and Earth Membrane, his flesh became the Great Earth, and his blood vessels, tendons, and bones became mountains and rivers. His eyes became the Sun Star and Taiyin. After one final look at the Heaven and Earth he had created, his spine became Zhou Mountain, which supported Heaven and Earth.
At that moment, countless auspicious auras filled the newborn Heaven and Earth, violet light shot into the sky, and Mysterious Yellow Great Dao Merit blanketed the heavens. From Pangu's remaining body, which was still transforming into Heaven and Earth, flew Twelve Drops of Crimson Blood Essence and three incomplete fragments of Nascent Soul.
They each swept away thirty percent of the Merit of Opening the Heavens. Then the twelve drops of blood essence were carried away by the Pangu Heart and vanished at the foot of Zhou Mountain. Of the remaining Merit of Opening the Heavens, Twenty Percent fused with Mysterious Yellow Qi and Primordial Violet Qi respectively, becoming the Heaven and Earth Mysterious Yellow Exquisite Pagoda and the Primordial Sky-Measuring Ruler.
The Heaven and Earth Mysterious Yellow Exquisite Pagoda was carried away by the three Nascent Soul fragments and concealed within Heaven and Earth, while the Primordial Sky-Measuring Ruler flew into the Primordial Heaven and Earth on its own and vanished! The remaining Twenty Percent of the Merit scattered throughout the Primordial Heaven and Earth. Nourished by this Twenty Percent of Great Dao Merit, the Great Wilderness World became increasingly stable!
Meanwhile, the future soul that had intruded by chance was drawn into the Primordial Heaven and Earth by Pangu's navel as he transformed into Heaven and Earth, disappearing without a trace...
Time passed swiftly. Under the mighty power of Time Dao, the newborn Great Wilderness World slowly absorbed the Fortune bestowed by Pangu and the remains of the Chaos Demon Gods. The newborn Heaven and Earth gradually became stable, while its origin essence continued to accumulate...
