Daoist Hunyuan sought the Heavenly Gate and led a group through the Heaven Burying Ground, where they faced Yin Spirits, Heavenly Soldiers, and Heaven’s Evil Thought. After surviving the trials beyond it, Hunyuan entered an ancient road and fought through the Great Terror Zone, where he protected a chained lion from zombies.

• Daoist Hunyuan restored Yellow Stone Daoist, defeated Gonggong, and helped Wu Tian embrace his demonic nature before continuing through Kunlun with Xuanjiao.
• Daoist Hunyuan and Meng Ke determined that opening the Heavenly Gate required the Eight Spirits and the Power of All Beings, then climbed Mount Tai and activated the compass.
• Daoist Hunyuan, Meng Ke, and other cultivators entered the Heavenly Gate and crossed the Land Where Heaven Was Buried, fighting Yin Spirits and watching the factions struggle against Mosquito Daoist and the Heavenly Soldiers.
• Chi You absorbed the Way of Soldiers and reached the Great Wu realm, while Daoist Hunyuan confronted the black dragon and then endured Heaven’s Evil Thought without resisting.
• Daoist Hunyuan entered the Soul Pond and suffered as Soul Liquid split his soul, while Pangu’s shadow sent Soul Power to Chi You, whom Meng Ke recognized as Sun Wu.
• Daoist Hunyuan and the survivors studied the stele and reached the sacred world beyond the Heaven Burying Ground, where each traveler began a different trial along the ancient road.
• Daoist Hunyuan rescued Jin Chanzi and fought through the Great Terror Zone, refining a qilin-like Savage Beast into Earth Power before encountering a Giant Yin Soldier and a foul river.
• Daoist Hunyuan killed zombies attacking a wounded lion and used a Soul Seal ward to stop the chains around the lion from draining its Soul Power.

Daoist Hunyuan and his companions aided the Wu Clan, then journeyed through the Taiji World and confronted Heavenly Fox Venerable at Qingqiu Mountain. After Heavenly Fox Venerable consumed Hunyuan’s body, Hunyuan rebuilt his domain and began mastering the lotus seeds, while Kong Qiu awakened within one of them.

• Daoist Hunyuan helped Xuanjiao and Golden Lion defeat the demon corpses, then Minghe seized the Sea of Blood Netherworld Banner and sent Hunyuan to seek Tianpeng.
• Daoist Hunyuan absorbed Di Jiang’s soul and learned the Hall of Inheritance lay in a separate spatial world, then helped Wu Tian establish the Wu Realm and recover Chi You’s surviving clan members.
• Yang Jian trained at the Inheritance Hall and joined Daoist Hunyuan’s expedition, where Xuanjiao and the others exposed the illusions around Qingqiu Mountain.
• Daoist Hunyuan entered Heavenly Fox Venerable’s cave and discovered that he extracted laws from corpses and captive primordial spirits, then was trapped in a Fire Domain and a starry formation.
• Heavenly Fox Venerable’s formation consumed Daoist Hunyuan’s body and gathered his Soul Thoughts into a lotus, but the Eight Trigrams Compass saved his soul and Soul Liquid.
• Daoist Hunyuan formed and expanded his Hunyuan Space, defeated Heavenly Fox Venerable’s fox monsters, and accepted the lotus seedpod and Jade Token before Heavenly Fox Venerable swallowed Qingqiu Mountain and fled.
• Kong Qiu awakened in a lotus seed and reached the Primordial Grand Unity Golden Immortal realm, while Daoist Hunyuan stabilized the seedpod’s laws and took the seed containing the Power of Space.

Kong Qiu became a Saint as the West’s plans and the Mortal Realm’s troubles drew the cultivators into new conflicts. Hua Dou and his companions confronted the Qin Mausoleum’s ghosts, helped Guiguzi attain sainthood, and ended with Hua Dou staying on Flower-Fruit Mountain as a calamity approached.

• Kong Qiu became a Saint, explained the Three Realms’ place among many worlds, and urged Haotian to strengthen the Heavenly Court while Daoist Hunyuan sought the Mortal Realm’s scattered Primordial Violet Qi.
• Grand Master Xuandu revealed the West’s plan to use the Spiritual Stone Monkey to disrupt the Heavenly Palace and Underworld, while Chi You became Sun Wu Zi and departed to protect the Mortal Realm.
• Meng Ke and Tian Lingzi entered Taiji Hall’s crystal wall and faced its lethal Golden Beetles and runes, while Old Ancestor Xuanbing froze a Chaos Beast before Buddhist restraints and the beast threatened to overwhelm him.
• Hua Dou settled in the Qin dynasty, absorbed the purple specks killing the shopkeeper, and began restoring Peng Yi’s cultivation while agreeing to treat Lü Ying.
• Hua Dou, Ziyang, and Guiguzi entered the Qin Mausoleum, defeated its ghost forces, and pursued Bai Qi, Qin Shi Huang, and Xu Fu through the formation’s halls.
• Guiguzi defeated Bai Qi, captured the Ghost King, and forced Xu Fu to flee toward the Netherworld Land after learning of his cultivation and revenge.
• Hua Dou helped the Golden Crocodile survive his tribulation, and Guiguzi divided his thoughts and attained sainthood as Xuanweizi before they entered the Taiji World.
• Hua Dou found human bones and Vengeful Spirits on Flower-Fruit Mountain, learned demons abducted people from the Kingdom of Aolai, and chose to stay with his disciples despite warning of an approaching calamity.

Hua Dou and Lu Ya helped reverse time in the Mortal Realm as conflicts spread across the Three Realms. Wang Mang became a being of darkness and escaped Hua Dou, while the beetle continued to regenerate after the heroes wounded it.

• Sun Wukong welcomed Hua Dou, who revealed that the Gold-Banded Cudgel held memories of Wukong’s past life and then taught the demons before leaving with Xuanjiao and the others for Zhen Yuanzi’s estate.
• Hua Dou and Zhen Yuanzi discussed the coming calamity, and Zhen Yuanzi gave him Xiantian Wutu Essence to settle the Karma of inviting him.
• Dao Lord Lu Ya emerged from the coffin, found Pangu’s true form and Xuanhuang’s Life Spring, then used them to restore the Golden Crow soul and help transform the Taishi World.
• Lu Ya and Hua Dou completed the Destiny Compass’s spiritual roots and reversed time in the Mortal Realm, while Lu Ya’s body was destroyed by Karma and his primordial spirit joined the Chaos Bell.
• Sima Mao judged the Han Dynasty Four Cases and assigned the historical figures new lives, while Hua Dou and Ziyang returned to the Mortal Realm and Peng Yi chose to become a true physician before passing away.
• The Yellow Turban uprising spread as Tang Zhou pursued malevolent power, Wang Mang was trapped in the Platform of Investiture, and Zhang Jiao’s magic was challenged by Ge Xuan and Zhang Daoling.
• Yang Jian and Ksitigarbha fought the Asuras in the Netherworld until the Haotian Mirror and Taibai Jinxing’s star formation broke the Blood Sea Great Formation and ended the rebellion.
• Wang Mang awakened in darkness, became an initial Divine King, and escaped Hua Dou’s River of Destiny, while Xing Tian, Houyi, Meng Ke, Xuan Jian, and others failed to stop the beetle from regenerating.
