Background / History

An Xiaoxue was already a professor in Huaxia Gene Evolution University’s Mysterious System when she encountered Xu Tui during his gene aptitude examination. Noting his fourteen activated Wisdom Heart Gene Points, she gave him her card and encouraged him to join the understaffed category. 7

When Xu Tui discovered he was being followed, she responded despite being in a confidential meeting and challenged the Special Intelligence Agency’s decision to use him as bait for a suspected Dawn Redemption Traitor Organization operative. 10 11 She later confirmed that the agency’s annual practice of targeting high-potential students as bait was real. 13

She accompanied the incoming students from Jincheng to Kyoto as an escort teacher. During the journey, Xu Tui’s sensing exposed Cha Yifeng’s false teeth as a covert transmitter; An Xiaoxue immediately restrained Cha, identified the device as magnetized tantalum alloy, and ordered the convoy off its planned route. 19 23

The diversion led into an ambush involving cyborgs, controlled beasts, and high-energy electric sniper rifles. An Xiaoxue defended the students, killed numerous attacking beasts, endured sustained sniper fire, reversed plasma rounds against the snipers, and helped kill the cyborg Ahu before collapsing from the strain. 24 25

After the battle, she used wartime regulations to conduct a “surprise interrogation” of the exposed traitor Cha Yifeng, resulting in his death. She explained to Xu Tui and Gong Ling that understanding rules and law was necessary to protect oneself against enemies who exploited them. 27

At Huaxia Gene Evolution University, An Xiaoxue became Xu Tui’s assigned teacher, secured his special recruitment quota, advised him to conceal much of his Mental Induction ability, and brought him into Laboratory 14 as an intern assistant. 33 41 43 She provided him with the Wisdom Heart System’s mental Gene Point unlocking method and the Mind Sea Concentration Gene Forging Knowledge Method v4.9, Part 1. 43 45

Appearance

An Xiaoxue has a notably youthful presence despite holding a professorship. She commonly conceals her face with a light blue medical mask, which contributed to her campus nickname, the “Masked Goddess.” 19 33 34

Personality

An Xiaoxue is blunt, impatient with trivial interruptions, and often cuts through awkward situations with sharp remarks. Her first advice to Xu Tui was to contact her only over important matters—or risk being blocked. 7 She also openly mocked him as a “little X-ray expert” when he used an excuse to sit beside her. 23

She is highly observant and strategically minded. She recognized that Xu Tui’s Mental Induction was ideal for surveillance and warned that displaying it fully could result in him being recruited or used as an internal spy. Rather than ordering him, she advised him to conceal at least half of both its range and clarity for his own safety. 33

Her strongest trait is her protectiveness toward students. She opposed the bait operation involving Xu Tui, acted decisively when Cha Yifeng was exposed, and fought through severe injury to stop the ambush and save the students. 11 23 24 25
