Background / History

Ning Rongrong is the eldest daughter of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and Ning Fengzhi’s youngest daughter. Doted on within the sect, she develops a reputation as its “Little Witch,” accustomed to getting her way and rarely facing meaningful setbacks. At eight years old, she has already reached level 14, placing her ahead of many peers in cultivation. 17

Her first encounter with Su Yuntian occurs after she sneaks into Heaven Dou City to play. Exhausted and wanting a table at a barbecue stall, she demands that Su Yuntian and Da Xue leave, dismissing them as servants. The argument escalates into a Soul Master battle after Su Yuntian splashes her with tea and she activates her Martial Soul. 15 16

Fighting alongside her brother Ning Fengya, Rongrong is unable to overcome Su Yuntian’s Gate of Babylon. Although Fengya attempts to concede, she assumes Su Yuntian has exhausted his Soul Power and rushes in alone. Su Yuntian answers by bombarding her with eggs, leaving her humiliated and in tears. 17

Two years later, Rongrong encounters Su Yuntian again at the Crown Prince’s mansion and demands revenge. Ning Fengzhi allows the dispute to be settled through another duel: Rongrong and Fengya, both level 22, against level 19 Su Yuntian. Her strength and speed support boosts let her maneuver around his attacks, but she repeatedly wastes Soul Power trying to close the distance. Su Yuntian defeats both siblings with another egg barrage, prompting her to flee in tears once more. 21 22 23

Rongrong remains openly hostile toward Su Yuntian afterward, threatening retaliation during the sect’s departure from the Crown Prince’s mansion. However, after the two defeats, she becomes frightened when he appears at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and jokingly threatens to break her legs. 24 27

Personality

Rongrong is proud, demanding, and highly conscious of her family’s status. During her first meeting with Su Yuntian, she expects Da Xue and Su Yuntian to surrender their table simply because she is from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. She reacts badly to being contradicted, mocked, or denied what she wants. 15 16

She is intensely competitive and refuses to accept defeat gracefully. Her desire to avenge her first humiliation motivates her cultivation and her second challenge against Su Yuntian, but it also makes her reckless in battle. She ignores Ning Fengya’s warning to conserve Soul Power because she wants to defeat Su Yuntian and prove the superiority of her Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda over his mutated Black Tower. 21 22

Despite her bravado, Rongrong is emotionally vulnerable when embarrassed. She relies on tears and acting spoiled to seek comfort from Ning Fengzhi and Sword Douluo Chen Xin, while her experiences against Su Yuntian leave her with an evident fear of facing him again. 17 21 23 27
