Jiang Mian let a Sixth-tier Calamity drag her into its layered domain, then erased it and returned to the ice house with Ye Chenyang. There, Ji Chen and the Wild Hunters confronted her over the death of one of their members.

• Jiang Mian and Ye Chenyang decided to clear out the remaining seventh-tiers and investigate the neighboring Black Hand Gang while leaving Yu Zhengqing alone to avoid exposing Xu Xiaoan.

Jiang Mian used Golden Crow to lure Li Liang and the Black Hand Gang into a confrontation, while the gang's leaders debated the Calamity's origins and Luo Zheng concealed his own plans. As Li Liang fought Golden Crow and the gang watched, a black-and-white Sword Qi suddenly struck at him.

• Golden Crow drew Li Liang into battle, and Jiang Mian told Ye Chenyang to wait for the Black Hand Gang before acting.
• Jiang Mian brought out Jiang Ling to prepare a battlefield outside the south gate and planned to end the fight quickly with Torrent.
• Huo Tianxiong ordered the Black Hand Gang leaders to pursue Golden Crow after Luo Zheng claimed it had appeared in the west and that its controller was likely in the city.
• Luo Zheng followed the gang while secretly working to reshape [Slaughter] and considering Golden Crow a possible trap worth letting others investigate.
• The Black Hand Gang arrived as Li Liang struggled against Golden Crow, and Huo Tianxiong offered to watch and intervene if needed.

Ye Chenyang killed Li Liang and confronted Huo Tianxiong's Black Hand Gang, then escaped with the Golden Crow using Spatial Power. Huo Tianxiong ordered the gang to pursue them while Jiang Mian recovered from the foul taste of the Seventh-tier she had devoured.

• Ye Chenyang's Sword Qi split Li Liang apart, and an ice-blue bolt of lightning engulfed him, leaving no trace.
• Huo Tianxiong questioned Ye Chenyang, who claimed he was passing through before greeting Luo Zheng; Luo Zheng denied knowing him and said someone else controlled the Golden Crow.

• Jiang Ling spotted Ye Chenyang and Golden Crow approaching with the Black Hand Gang in pursuit, and waited in the mist for the Master to arrive.
• Huo Tianxiong caught up to Ye Chenyang, but Ye Chenyang used teleportation and Golden Crow’s explosive clones to keep the gang chasing them into the mist.

• Asura told Yun Ling that [World-Overturning Torrent] had wiped out the Black Hand Gang’s Seventh-tiers, including Huo Tianxiong and Zhou Li, and might also have killed Zhong Zhen and Lin Kai.
• Yun Ling questioned Asura about [Doom]’s domain and suspected she possessed a permanently active pocket-world domain; Luo Zheng then said he would head to Base City No. 185 to rebuild his strength.

Jiang Mian and Ye Chenyang watched as Yun Ling overwhelmed four Seventh-tiers at the Black Hand Gang headquarters, converting one and killing the other three. Outside Base City, Shen Qiuyu’s team withdrew from the Mist-filled city, but two figures rushed toward them.

• Mist engulfed Base City after the Radiance Monument was destroyed, and Jiang Mian and Ye Chenyang sensed four Seventh-tiers heading for the Black Hand Gang headquarters.
• Yun Ling defeated the four Seventh-tiers, suppressing the bald brute in a Shadow Cocoon while the other three emerged as lumps of flesh.

• Shen Qiuyu’s squad confronted Jiang Mian and Ye Chenyang, who claimed they had escaped the city and accepted three high-grade soul crystals from Shen Qiuyu.

Shen Qiuyu unleashed a Seventh-tier skill and seemed close to victory before the corpse tide charged toward her squad, led by three terrifying Calamities.

• Jiang Mian sensed the hidden corpse tide and shared the ambush with Ye Chenyang, who suspected Withering had targeted Shen Qiuyu because of her power to grow stronger through burning.
• Jiang Mian and Ye Chenyang rushed toward the battle but chose not to intervene while Shen Qiuyu's life was not in immediate danger.
• Nangong Ling boosted Shen Qiuyu's mental power as Chu Xi and Lin Qianwen supported her against the Mist Chimera, and Shen Qiuyu pressed the attack with her flaming spear.

Shen Qiuyu stayed behind to hold off several Seventh-tier Calamities while her teammates fled, but the battle turned desperate as the Mist Fiends stacked their curses and a Curse Puppet attacked her. Just as a fully stacked monster struck, an enormous ice-blue lightning bolt descended from the Mist and engulfed it and the Curse Puppet.

• Shen Qiuyu identified three Mist Fiends among the Calamities and ordered her teammates to run south while she held them back.
• A skeletal direwolf stacked curses by devouring a red-boned giant, advancing to the middle stage of the Seventh-tier.
• Shen Qiuyu attacked the direwolf with [Burn the Heavens] as the Curse Puppet stabbed a cursed doll and inflicted pain on her.
