Uchiha Shigure

Shigure nodded. He didn't seem particularly interested in the woman before him.

But out of politeness, he gave a stiff, perfunctory introduction. "Uchiha Shigure, Xiao Xing's brother, and a Genin of Konoha."

"You really are a stiff one. I'll repay you for your kindness, don't worry. Do you have anything to do next? Why don't we go out for a meal together?" Amamiya Suisen asked, looking at Shigure with a friendly smile.

Suisen's reminder made Shigure remember that he still had a match between teams coming up.

"No. I have something else important to do," Shigure replied, turning her down without hesitation.

"Xiao Xing, remember to contact me whenever you need anything. I won't keep you from your work. If something comes up, you know how to find me."

"Okay!" Xiao Xing nodded obediently.

After Shigure finished speaking, he felt a little anxious.

I wonder if I can make it in time. I'll have to use Body Flicker in quick succession!

Shigure immediately activated his D-rank Body Flicker Technique. He vanished from the shop and raced toward Konoha Fourth Training Ground at top speed.

Only Suisen and Xiao Xing remained in the shop.

"Your brother seems great! Is he always so decisive and imposing?" Suisen asked quietly.

"Hehe, he wasn't like this before. He always cared about me, but after those people from the Uchiha Clan bullied him, I noticed he changed a lot! Lately, he's been much more decisive, and he cares about me even more."

"I wonder if it's a coincidence? He should've just finished a mission today. Good thing I made it in time!" Xiao Xing said mysteriously.

"Made it in time for what?" Miss Suisen asked curiously.

"Hehe, it's a secret. You'll find out tonight!" Xiao Xing made a shushing gesture, then whispered into Suisen's ear.

Shigure had no idea what they were talking about. By now, he was putting all his strength into using Body Flicker in quick succession as he raced toward Konoha Fourth Training Ground, unconcerned with how much chakra he spent.

Before this, Shigure could never have used these techniques so fluidly. He had his diligent practice to thank for that.

Over the past half month of missions, Shigure had noticed every day that his Otsutsuki bloodline was becoming purer and more powerful. Aside from his skin growing a little paler and horns beginning to sprout from his head, his chakra had also increased considerably. He could clearly feel himself nearing another level.

At this rate, it wouldn't be long before Shigure's chakra surpassed Kage Level and reached Super Kage Level.

Shigure had also become even more adept at controlling and using chakra. He could now use his copied techniques at just the right moment. Choosing the right technique for the right situation was far more useful than learning a whole bunch of useless techniques.

That was common sense for any ninja.

But Shigure's White Rinnegan had changed the most.

The range of his Scouting Eye was almost a third greater than before, and he could see chakra pathways and flows much more clearly.

Shigure could clearly feel that his ocular power had grown considerably.

Body Flicker's effectiveness was also determined by how much chakra one used. With Shigure driving it to its limits without holding back, the technique reached a terrifying speed.

Naturally, moving through Konoha at such incredible speed meant that some of the more capable villagers saw him.

Somewhere in Konoha, a silver-haired boy witnessed the scene.

"Was that Body Flicker? He was so fast! Minato-sensei, did you see him? He was just like you using the Flying Thunder God Technique!" the silver-haired boy exclaimed.

"Kakashi? You saw someone? I didn't see anything," said a black-haired boy in sportswear and tinted goggles, yawning. The Uchiha Clan crest was emblazoned on his clothes.

"Obito, he already passed by while you were eating and sleeping," the girl on their team said.

She had short brown hair, large dark-brown eyes, and two purple markings on her face.

"Ah! Rin! I actually saw him, too. I was just pretending!" Obito said, trying to make excuses.

"Obito, there you go again." The speaker was naturally their team leader, though he didn't sound particularly annoyed.

He had golden-blond hair, jewel-like blue eyes, a green flak jacket worn over a blue bodysuit.

That's right, the man before them was the future Fourth Hokage, though for now, he was only a Jonin.

These four shinobi made up Konoha's Team Minato: Obito Uchiha, Rin Nohara, Kakashi Hatake, and their Jonin leader, Minato Namikaze.

"Obito, I couldn't see clearly, but I think I saw the Uchiha Clan crest on him."

"What? He was from our Uchiha Clan?" Obito exclaimed in surprise.

"But I didn't sense the Flying Thunder God formula or any spatial fluctuations. It must've just been ordinary Body Flicker. I don't think anyone among Konoha's Jonin has that kind of speed."

"Who was he? Obito, do you know? Or was it that prodigy from the Anbu?" Minato asked with a smile.

"Huh?! Minato-sensei, you mean... could you be talking about my little brother, Shisui?! He never comes home these days. He's serving in the Anbu under the Third Hokage! There's no way it was him!" Obito said, waving his hand.

"The Anbu? Uchiha Shisui?!" Kakashi was a little shocked. He looked at Obito, then couldn't help asking, "If your little brother's in the Anbu, how old is he?"

"Six or seven, I think. Why? Is there a problem?" Obito still didn't understand what was wrong, and for a moment he looked confused. But when he saw the expressions on Kakashi and Rin's faces, he suddenly understood and blushed.

"Kakashi! Rin! Don't make fun of me!" Obito tried to defend himself again. "I'm way stronger than Shisui!"

"As if."

In the end, Minato had to step in and save Obito.

"All right, all right. We don't have any missions today, and we're all curious about that person we just saw. Why don't we go check him out?" Minato suggested.

"Wow! Sounds fun!" Obito seemed enthusiastic about this sort of thing.

"Sure, why not? If he's strong, that'll make it even more interesting," Kakashi said, clearly intrigued. At the moment, he was especially fond of fighting.

"Let's go!" Minato's entire team followed Shigure from behind.

Shigure was very alert. After all, he had killed someone from the Uchiha Clan in the village.
