Ginyu's Ambition

On the battlefield.

"Vegeta, your Battle Power is still far too low. I'd better give you a hand."

Son Gohan appeared in a flash beside the deep pit. Seeing Vegeta, whom Ginyu had beaten to a pulp, he spoke.

He was counting on Vegeta to contribute plenty of Battle Power attributes.

Son Gohan held out his palm toward Vegeta. A gentle force flowed from it, and Vegeta's wounds began to heal at a visible speed.

Vegeta was instantly back to full strength. He stood up, excitedly clenching his fists as he felt the immense power within him.

So it was true. Every time he recovered from an injury, his Battle Power increased too.

"Vegeta, do you want to raise your Battle Power?"

Son Gohan asked with a smile.

If you wanted a horse to run fast, you had to feed it well.

He hadn't used the Grand Elder's method to help Son Goku unleash his potential at the start because he'd wanted Ginyu to deal a serious blow to Son Goku.

After all, Saiyan Battle Power soared every time they recovered from an injury.

But Frieza's appearance had completely thrown his plan into disarray.

"You can do that? Help me."

Vegeta spoke without thinking, his eyes full of shock and disbelief.

This kid had surprised him far too many times.

He had always been after greater power.

"All right. Relax."

Son Gohan floated over to Vegeta and placed one hand on his head.

Vegeta looked utterly baffled. This was all it took to increase his Battle Power?

He wasn't worried that Son Gohan might suddenly attack and kill him.

After all, Son Gohan had let him go and saved him many times already.

White Aura enveloped Son Gohan's hand, surging into Vegeta's body.

A powerful aura suddenly erupted from Vegeta.

The pit expanded countless times in an instant, and cracks spread across the ground like a spiderweb.

Son Gohan lowered his hand.

"That aura... It's Vegeta."

Son Goku immediately sensed the powerful energy.

His eyes kept drifting toward Vegeta.

Was this commotion Gohan's doing?

"Is this really my power? It's incredible!"

"Looks like even Frieza isn't a match for me anymore."

Feeling the powerful aura around him, Vegeta was practically floating with joy.

He could tell that this aura was even stronger than Frieza's current one.

If his Scouter could still measure it, his Battle Power would have reached 500,000.

No wonder he thought his Battle Power had surpassed Frieza's.

Vegeta truly was a prodigy. His potential was astounding.

"What's going on?"

"Did that kid do this?"

Frieza had been focused on the battle between Ginyu and Son Goku and hadn't paid any attention to what was happening with Vegeta.

Now Vegeta had made such a tremendous commotion.

Frieza was completely baffled.

"Ah...! That's good! Keep hitting me!"

Ginyu was being mercilessly beaten by Son Goku in midair, caught between pain and pleasure.

At times he screamed; at others, he burst into laughter.

Anyone watching would have thought he was insane.

He hadn't expected this Saiyan to be so powerful. He couldn't fight back at all.

He'd already set his sights on that body.

For now, he just had to let his opponent beat him senseless. Then, when he changed bodies, the whole thing would be all the more thrilling.

"Oh-ho-ho-ho! Ginyu has completely given up resisting. Is he planning to use that move?"

Frieza said with an excited grin.

What would Ginyu's expression be after they switched bodies?

Just imagining it was thrilling.

"Vegeta, now's your chance to settle the score. There may not be another one."

Son Gohan smiled at Vegeta.

He looked up toward Son Goku and Ginyu's fight.

Then he flew out of the pit and into the air to keep watching.

After hearing Ginyu, he knew exactly what the man was planning.

"Ginyu, you're dead!"

Vegeta pushed off with both feet, and the ground caved in beneath him.

His body vanished in an instant.

Thud!

When he reappeared, he was right in front of Ginyu, driving a fist into his stomach.

Vegeta was the sort who always paid back a grudge. Hadn't Ginyu just enjoyed beating him up?

Now he could get a taste of what it felt like to be pummeled.

Urgh!

Ginyu's stomach cramped with pain, and he doubled over, clutching it as he retched.

Vegeta followed up with a heavy punch to his back.

The blows flowed seamlessly. Ginyu didn't even have time to react.

His body shot toward the ground like a cannonball.

Vegeta was determined to reclaim the face he'd lost when Ginyu had defeated him in an instant.

He attacked Ginyu in exactly the same way.

Son Goku was shocked to see how powerful Vegeta had suddenly become.

He hadn't noticed what had happened at all.

The gap between the two of them was enormous now.

It was like watching a grown man beat up a child.

Boom!

The ground was smashed into a huge crater.

"Cough, cough."

Ginyu lay in the pit, coughing a few times.

He looked up at Vegeta in the air with an excited expression, practically drooling as if he'd spotted a beautiful woman.

That body was perfect. Just a few punches had left him completely beaten.

His own 110,000 Battle Power made him feel like a child beside Vegeta.

This was the body he'd always dreamed of.

"Vegeta, I'm taking your body."

An energy beam shot from Ginyu's body and instantly immobilized Vegeta.

A white light burst from Ginyu's mouth and shot toward him.

"W-what? I... I can't move!"

Vegeta struggled with all his might.

Veins bulged on his forehead, but he couldn't summon any strength.

"Damn it! Is this the superpower Gohan mentioned?"

"That white light Ginyu spat out must be his soul."

Son Goku hurriedly pulled the earthworm from his arms and tossed it in front of Vegeta.

"King Frieza, save me!"

Seeing Son Goku toss the earthworm over, Ginyu shouted desperately to Frieza.

Why was that guy carrying that thing around with him?

Did the Saiyans know about his Body Change ability?

"Foolish!"

Frieza fired a red Energy Wave from his finger at the earthworm.

Ginyu was his only subordinate now.

He wouldn't let his only subordinate be taken out right in front of him.

"Not a chance!"

Son Gohan had been prepared for Frieza to intervene.

He flashed in front of the Energy Wave and knocked it away with a flick of his hand.

Rumble!

The Energy Wave blasted through a mountain.

Frieza was slightly taken aback. He tried to attack again, but it was already too late.

He hadn't expected the kid to deflect his Energy Wave.

"No!"

With nothing in the way, the earthworm reached Vegeta safely.

Ginyu's soul switched bodies with the earthworm in an instant.

His last cry was a heart-rending scream.

"Ginyu, disappear!"

As soon as Vegeta could move again, he angrily fired an Energy Wave, destroying the earthworm in front of him and Ginyu's body on the ground.

Although he'd been unable to move just moments earlier,

he'd seen everything clearly.

If Kakarot and his son hadn't stepped in just now,

his soul might have switched places with Ginyu's.

Son Gohan gathered up all the Battle Power attributes scattered across the ground.

The Battle Power in the combat section of his personal status screen climbed rapidly.

"Oh-ho-ho-ho! I underestimated you three."

Frieza looked at them with a cruel smile, his gaze growing sharper and sharper.
