"What are you thinking about?"

A voice came from behind the God of Death.

Mar wore a black robe that concealed her curvy figure. Smiling, she walked up behind the God of Death and gazed at him. "You suddenly left the divine realm and came here. Is something the matter?"

"Stay somewhere long enough, and you'll want to come out and look around."

The God of Death turned around and looked at Mar, answering calmly.

In his eyes, Mar seemed little changed.

Her looks were as they had been in the past. She still seemed a little plain, though her figure was full—something concealed beneath her black robe and unseen by others.

Her smile was unchanged, too. It had always possessed a reassuring quality, in the past and now alike.

The only difference was that the power of fate within her had grown even more terrifying and immense.

Over the long years, the God of Death had not been idle.

In the span of several thousand years, he had accomplished quite a bit.

Back when Arthur first ascended to godhood, he had already used his power to help Mar find several other Chosen of the God of Fate.

When the Goddess of Destiny had left the World of Gods, she had divided her power and authority into several parts, scattering them throughout the World of Gods and leaving their destinations to fate.

Those scattered authorities eventually fell into the hands of different people, giving rise to the Goddess of Destiny's Chosen.

Mar was one of them.

The Chosen of the Goddess of Destiny were all different, but without exception, they sought to increase their power by following a Child of Destiny. Through the Child of Destiny's experiences, they felt the tides of fate rise and fall, strengthening their own power
