The War Began

Time passed slowly in the calm.

By the three-thousandth year since the signing of the Gods' Calendar, the Material World had undergone tremendous changes.

Mortals continued to multiply, the number of believers kept growing, and evil beings were constantly struck down. All of this greatly increased the strength of the entire Material World.

As it sensed these changes, the Material World began to return power of its own accord, continuously pouring it into the God of Death and making his strength increasingly terrifying.

By now, in only a few thousand years, the God of Death's power seemed to have swelled to a whole new level. No deity could look directly upon such terrifying power.

He was like a black sun rising high in the sky, impossible for anyone to face—not even the deities.

Terrifying power ran rampant. In a world of nothingness, the God of Death's aura grew ever more fearsome.

By this time, the power of the deities throughout the Material World had also fully revived.

Including the period before, a full eight thousand years had passed since the Wizard World's last invasion.

In those eight thousand years, the Material World had changed with each passing day. The deities who had once lain dormant had now completed their revival, returning one after another and advancing in rank.

Now, the Material World had no fewer than forty true deities, and the number of Demigods was even greater.

If the many wizards of the Wizard World learned of such terrifying strength beyond the World Sea, they would surely be stunned.

In the void, the God of Death slowly opened his eyes. Within his black pupils, two black suns seemed to rise, gleaming with a concentrated radiance of death.
