The God of Death's Ascension

After more than half a year of negotiations, the Deities and the King of Earth Demons had reached a preliminary consensus.

The terms each side had discussed were as follows.

First: the King of Earth Demons would immediately hand over the World Gate technology and the coordinates of Calamity World. The World Gates already built could remain, for the King of Earth Demons to use.

Second: the King of Earth Demons would hand the Abyss Sea over to the God of Death.

Third: the Abyss World would be fully opened. Both sides would build a passage between the worlds, allowing travel between the Material World and the Abyss World, as well as the spread of ideas and the exchange of goods through free trade.

Fourth: the King of Earth Demons would represent the Abyss World in joining the Council of Deities, with a status equal to that of the God of Death.

There were many, many specific clauses, but these were the main points.

Once they had reached an agreement, the King of Earth Demons readily handed over the World Gate technology and the coordinates of Calamity World to the Deities.

The God of Death also led the Deities back to the Material World.

A great war had been averted.

It had begun with tremendous fanfare, yet ended in such peace.

The Material World and the Abyss World had ultimately avoided an all-out war.

Many were relieved, though a few felt disappointed.

Some ambitious figures had been itching for a fight, ready to join in at any moment. Now they had lost their chance and could only remain in hiding, waiting for another opportunity.

After returning, the World of Gods once again settled into peace.
