Ten Thousand Years

After finishing the creation of the world before them, the God of Death and the King of Earth Demons began refining its details.

They divided the vast Styx River, directing different souls to different levels. They also carved out a special river for the souls of the gods' followers, allowing them to appear separately and even enjoy certain privileges.

From then on, the followers of any Deity recognized by the God of Death would no longer need to be cleansed in the Styx. They could be reincarnated directly as spirits, retaining their memories of the past.

And if any especially devout followers had deep faith, they could even enjoy the privilege of serving the God of Death in this world of death, living on indefinitely.

To some extent, this undoubtedly greatly strengthened the God of Death's authority.

After all, only gods recognized by him as true Deities could enjoy such privileges.

If a god wasn't recognized by the God of Death, then their followers couldn't enjoy these privileges. Naturally, fewer people would choose to worship them, making it difficult for their faith to spread widely.

What's more, if the God of Death took a dislike to a particular Deity, he could simply declare them an evil god. All their followers would then descend into hell after death and suffer all manner of horrific torment.

With these two measures working in tandem, the God of Death's influence over the other gods was undoubtedly strengthened even further.

After gaining the power to supervise and enforce the rules, the right to recognize the other gods was yet another immensely useful authority.

With all these powers in his grasp, the God of Death's authority among the gods became even more secure. His position as King of Gods was now firmly established.
