Making a Mess of Things, Revealing One's True Feelings

By three in the afternoon, Tsunade returned to the hospital, looking for praise as soon as she saw Uchiha Dan.

"Why the long face?" Uchiha Dan asked curiously, "Where did you go?"

"I went to the Pharmaceutical Department!" Tsunade said proudly.

"What?" Uchiha Dan exclaimed, standing up, a bad feeling rising in his heart. "What did you go to the Pharmaceutical Department for?"

"To help you!" Tsunade didn't quite understand Uchiha Dan's reaction. "Why are you so jumpy?"

"No, why would you go to the Pharmaceutical Department? Did Utatane Koharu ask for your help?"

At this moment, Uchiha Dan wished he were dead.

No, the plan had gone drastically wrong. Perhaps he was truly going to die, with not much time left.

By the river, Uchiha Dan picked up pebbles and tossed them into the water one by one. Occasionally, a small fish would leap out of the water, only to fall back in quickly.

Uchiha Dan felt like that small fish now. No matter how much he struggled, wanting to leap out of the water, he would ultimately be swallowed by the river.

Tsunade, who had followed him all the way, saw that Uchiha Dan seemed to have regained his sanity and slowly approached him.

"Dan, are you alright?" Tsunade asked worriedly.

"Go away, I don't want to see you!" Uchiha Dan said coldly, as if devoid of any emotion.

"You really don't want to see me?"

Tsunade didn't get an explanation from Uchiha Dan, but instead got his roar.

Uchiha Dan naturally knew Tsunade's thoughts, but he didn't care.
