One Against Three

I took a serious look at everyone's comments and suggestions today. They were really helpful. I also saw a lot of comments saying that people with a Mangekyo who had Hashirama Cells wouldn't go blind. I looked through plenty of forums, marketing accounts, and uploaders, but none of them had a clear answer.

There were arguments on both sides, and I couldn't find anything Kishimoto had said about it, either. After reading so many Naruto fanfics and watching so many Naruto analysis videos, I'd seen a lot of stories where transplanting Hashirama Cells could only slow down the loss of eyesight caused by using the Mangekyo.

It couldn't make the Mangekyo last forever. Otherwise, why would Kishimoto have created the Eternal Mangekyo and Eternal Light? Why didn't Obito go blind? Half his body was basically that of a plant zombie, so the side effects were naturally much weaker.

I also saw another theory (there's a picture in the author's notes). People said Obito didn't go blind because Kamui didn't consume much, and because he had only one Mangekyo, so it didn't take as much out of him as using both eyes. Just look at Uchiha Sasuke and his big brother Itachi—when they used Amaterasu, blood ran down their faces.

Oh, and about Chidori and Chidori: those of you who've watched the Naruto anime or played Bleach vs. Naruto, gather around. I want to ask: if they didn't call out their skill names, would you know who was using what?

Main story

As Izumo Kamizuki was sent flying, the Konoha shinobi surrounded Josuke.

Were they surrounding him to take turns fighting him?

These few people thought they could stop him? Josuke didn't think so.

"I suggest you leave now. Otherwise, you'll lose badly."

Josuke made his voice sound deep and ominous.

He held the weapon he'd snatched from Izumo Kamizuki.

Just as Josuke had thought, was it the Three-Tails' eye?

The Tailed Beast's presence had almost completely faded. Maybe he could awaken it again—but he needed a little Chakra belonging to a Tailed Beast. As luck would have it, didn't he have some?

Josuke slowly fed a little Nine-Tails Chakra into it.

The weapon instantly seemed to come alive, radiating a rich water element.

Isobu, the Three-Tails, was also known as the Great Turtle. So it really was his eye. But no one knew where this weapon had come from. All they knew was that Kirigakure and Konoha had fought once in the past.

One of the Three-Tails' eyes had been blinded. That was all.

What delighted Josuke even more was that the dry, withered eye on the weapon now seemed alive, curiously looking around.

Could the Three-Tails see?

Josuke didn't know.

In that case, he'd try out the power of a Tailed Beast.

He looked at the Konoha shinobi surrounding him.

"Water Style: Great Waterfall Technique!"

Josuke spat a huge sphere of water toward the enemy.

The Great Waterfall Technique completely blocked the view ahead. Josuke hefted his hammer and walked forward. A Konoha shinobi tried to resist, raising an Earth Style: Earth Wall in front of the torrent.

Josuke simply leaped up like a warrior.

He landed in front of the shinobi and grabbed him by the throat.

"How many floors can you carry a bag of rice up?"

Josuke asked.

The Konoha shinobi struggled in pain as Josuke choked him. He was on the verge of suffocating when a comrade rushed to help, sneaking up behind Josuke and firing a Great Fireball at him.

Josuke sneered.

He tossed the first shinobi behind him. The Great Fireball hit him, blasting him half to death.

Then Josuke used the Body Flicker Technique to appear in front of the shinobi who'd attacked him from behind. So you were the one who tried to sneak up on me?

Josuke swung his hammer and sent that Old Six flying.

Everyone had witnessed Josuke's strength. What were they thinking, trying to stop him when they knew they were no match? Just then—

Three Special Jonin arrived.

After hearing from their comrades what had happened, they stepped forward to face Josuke.

"Whatever your purpose is, leave now and you won't be hurt. Otherwise, don't blame us if we show no mercy."

The leading Special Jonin spoke to Josuke.

Josuke clearly had no intention of entertaining them. He fired two Great Fireballs at the three of them.

Seeing that negotiations had failed, the trio went straight on the attack.

The leader struck first, using Earth Style: Earth Splitting and Wind Release to restrict Josuke's movements. He couldn't stay on the ground, so Josuke jumped into the air.

A shinobi was waiting for him there.

The man hurled three kunai with Explosive Tags and swung a long blade at Josuke.

The Explosive Tags detonated first.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

After the three explosions, a cloud of dust rose. The airborne Jonin looked over, only to see the cloud split in two.

But Josuke hadn't been split in two as expected.

The man's attack had missed.

How could that be?

"Hey, what are you looking at?"

The voice came from above the Jonin's head.

The Jonin started and looked up. When had Josuke gotten above him?

Before he could react, a punch slammed him into the ground, leaving him gravely injured.

He'd defeated a Jonin in just a few moments. This kid's strategy and strength were probably no worse than Kakashi's. The two remaining Jonin stared at each other.

After a moment's thought, they decided that sneaking up on him wasn't working, so they'd try fighting from a distance.

With that, they used Great Fire Annihilation to put some distance between themselves and Josuke.

Just as they'd expected, Josuke was good at close combat but couldn't handle ranged attacks. But being blindly confident in their own strength wasn't a good idea.

Just as the two were about to fire their Great Fireballs—

Three kunai flew toward them. The two quickly dodged, inwardly scoffing. That was all?

They didn't realize that they were the ones headed for the chopping block.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

Two fireballs exploded on either side of Josuke, attacking from both sides. The two men exchanged smiles. Josuke had surely been injured by the blast. If they were right—

Josuke was probably a shinobi with good Taijutsu who didn't know any Ninjutsu. That was why he'd been caught off guard earlier.

Now it was their turn to hunt him down!

Actually, if Josuke hadn't wanted to reveal his identity, they'd already be dead.

He wouldn't even have needed to use Susanoo. One Amaterasu would have burned them to death, let alone a single slash from Susanoo.

One of the kunai he'd thrown earlier was marked with the Flying Thunder God.

This was the moment Josuke had been waiting for.

"Flying Thunder God, activate!"

Josuke flashed behind the two like a streak of black lightning.

He formed Hand Seals and unleashed two enormous Great Fireballs.

Without hesitation, he attacked the two men from behind. It wouldn't kill them, but they'd be badly injured for at least half a month.

Josuke didn't want to kill them. When Pain invaded Konoha, he'd need these Konoha shinobi as cannon fodder to buy the Crown Prince time to arrive. How could he just kill them here?

The two took the Great Fireballs head-on.

Now no one could stop Josuke. Chunin? Genin?

In the face of absolute strength, they were nothing but cannon fodder there to make up the numbers.

After dealing with them, Josuke left.

Before he went, he tossed out a final threat.

"Remember, those who hurt others..."
