Overview

The Original World is the timeline displayed on the left side of the Heavenly Screen. It is linked when the Twin Douluo Comparison System activates and publicly compares its Tang San with the Current World's Tang Shan across the continent 1.

History

The Original World's divergence is defined by Qian Xunji's pursuit of Tang Hao and the pregnant Ah Yin. Ah Yin sacrifices herself, while Tang Hao severely wounds Qian Xunji and escapes with Tang San. He subsequently lives in hiding as a drunken blacksmith in Holy Spirit Village 2.

Tang San grows up without his mother and spends his childhood caring for his alcoholic father. The Heavenly Screen attributes his sensitivity, precociousness, and repression to this upbringing 4.

Its later history is marked by the fall of major powers. Spirit Hall collapses after the Jialing Pass campaign, leaving surviving members such as Xie Yue as defeated remnants 91. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect loses Chen Xin and Gu Rong in battle; Ning Fengzhi then rapidly ages and dies alone after Ning Rongrong ascends to the God Realm 143.

By the final comparison, Tang San inherits the Sea God and Asura God divine thrones, yet his achievements are presented as insignificant beside Tang Shan's ascent to Creation God 176.

Conditions and Society

Soul Master Development

The world operates under restrictive conventional standards for soul-master cultivation. Yu Xiaogang's first-soul-ring limit of 423 years is treated as established theory until it is contrasted with Tang Shan's thousand-year first ring 14.

Resources are scarce and unevenly distributed. Tang San must work as a work-study student and struggles for soul-ring opportunities, while later comparisons characterize Shrek Academy as accepting only exceptional “monsters” rather than broadly developing ordinary students 13 166.

Commoners

Holy Spirit Village exemplifies the limited opportunities available to commoners: soul-power awakenings are rare, and Tang San's childhood is defined by poverty and self-reliance 7 11. The Current World's later policy of providing fruits that can awaken or improve soul power is explicitly contrasted with these conditions 82.

Soul Beasts

Soul beasts are commonly treated as cultivation resources. The Deep Sea Demonic Whale King is ultimately hunted for its soul ring and spirit bones after spending years hiding from Poseidon, while the Snow Empress is captured and auctioned when attempting human reincarnation to survive a heavenly tribulation 113 107.
